Is GOTY waiting allowable in here? Probably gonna be at my browser hitting refresh from Thursday afternoon (UK time).

Do we know when the GOTY podcasts are going to drop?

I'm assuming we'll also have ad free premium versions of those?

Edit: for some reason I thought it was Tuesday. How embarassing. Well it is technically tuesday where I am but it would be the earliest podcast of all time.

I'm a premium member but I don't understand the appeal of these. The Bombcast and Bill Burr's Monday Morning podcast are the only two pods that I actually enjoy the ads. The Bombcast because they do interesting shoot from the hip reads, and Bill Burr because he can't read for shit, and it's fucking hilarious.

So....

Because it will probably become a point of contention here, the podcast was rerecorded this afternoon live. It is just Jeff and Rorie, but still manages to be interesting and was good to listen to while wrapping presents. It is of the standard length of around three hours or so and it was interesting to hear Jeff record commercials live.

I will say that the original podcast sounds like it was a heck of a time, but there is nothing to be done about random crashes. Jeff mentioned in had the first 38 minutes so it may be stuck onto this whenever this goes up. By the way, Jeff and Rorie's live random old games and call in show just ended, so I doubt the podcast will go up until super late.

The replacement podcast ended up being (as advertised, I suppose) kind of like a cross between a Jar Time and a podcast. I think it worked pretty well.

Oh GOTY podcasts where art thou? I need your help to survive this graveyard shift.

Or, as some call it, "Tuefteenday".

The Bombcast is canceled. It is being replaced with Dan talks to drunk people live. Every week Dan will get drunk with someone and record everything they talk about.

And it's being renamed as The Bongcast.

Even in the great year of 2015, we are all watitng. Forever watitng.

My new year's resolution was to stop waiting for things. If they don't release the podcast immediately I don't know what I'll do.

Dan is a cool dood, he would never do drugs!

On a more serious note. Really looking forward to what ever Vinny and Alex do for their podcast now that the morning show is over.

@sterling: I listened to it after Vinny's second child was born and while it was pretty good, it also reminded me how much I miss Vinny in GB content. Something about Vinny makes him both hilarious and a joy to listen to without it feeling forced - the man is just naturally funny, kind of like Jeff. I think a show with Alex would be really great because it will create a really good dynamic seeing as they're sort of opposites in terms of character. Either way, I'm excited. I'm also anxious to see what kind of news person they'll acquire and if they will be a little more in key with the overall vibe of the sight or not.

@sterling: Did they say they were definitely doing some sort of podcast or are you just assuming they'll replace the morning show with something?

@lunnington: Alex said they would be on the farewell to Patrick quick thing they did on his last day. Can't find it right now. It was the 10 minute audio clip they put up after the end of the goty stuff was over.

Tuesday is upon us yet again. Now I must wait and bide my time until some kind of podcast drops.

I'm not even sure if any news has happened aside the Rock Band weirdness and the PS4 sales figures?

I know most people got sick of zombies about 3 years ago but hoping for some Dying Light and H1Z1 talk soon. Please don't ignore H1Z1 because its a pc game guys!

These and Bloodborne are the only things getting me excited for new releases at the moment ;/
