Yo! There doesn't appear to be a thread made where people can share their steam ID to play with each other's pawns, so I thought I'd go ahead and get one started. Has anyone even been able to see what other pawns their main pawn has met yet? Every time I check it, I get that no data received message.

@mike: I think the actual pawn feedback and rewards system is currently broken. Ive sent my friends pawns back (naturally with 1 star ratings and some rotten fish as a gift) and they never receive anything.

As to The pawn system being broken, it appears they got it working this morning, as I watched CohhCarnage stream and he was getting RC, and gifts.

Slyspider here. One of my friends has a lvl 160 pawn. Been abusing the shit out of that, trying to get the NG+ where I left off on the PS3. Pawn is a Sorc for now

Building my pawn out to be a tanky warrior

This is great, I've been having trouble finding decent tank pawns.

My pawn Tiara (currently lvl 22 I think) is a healer/support mage with a medicant inclination, so she heals pretty frequently. She has lightning and holy buffs, and a firewall spell she seems to like casting a lot as her secondary.

My sidekick, currently Chie (yes, I can be one of those people at times), is usually a Fighter since I go the Magick Archer route, and I usually min-max her as a fighter before making her a Warrior.

While on this subject, can someone clarify how his whole pawn system works?
Is the primary pawn I created one of the many "regular" pawns that other people can choose from, and vice versa?

@betterley: Yes, other people can see your main pawn in the Nexus and hire him/her. Your pawn will gain knowledge of enemies, quests and more from adventuring with other people who have hired them.

This game really surprised me, I've heard a lot of praises for it, but I never played it last-gen. It's really a hidden (maybe not so hidden) gem.

Friendly tip: be sure to equip your main pawn with all six spell slots to maximize their usefulness, and be sure to regularly sleep in inns. Sleeping in inns will update the main pawn server with your pawn stats; if you don't rest regularly your pawn won't be uploaded.

If any of you are around level 20 and need a Strider, Ziggy's here to help! He's got Ensnare and Cloudburst Volley to control enemies, and has the Utilitarian inclination. Add me here if you wanna grab him.

Unless you're making a tank pawn, in which case give them NO shield skills. Pawns with shield skills spend too much time turtling around the battlefield spamming (and usually missing) their shield skills instead of using useful ones like Dragon's Maw/Full Moon Slash/Blink Strike.

I've played a few hours so far, but decided to finish up Dragon Age: Inquisition before diving in deeper. That said, I do have a low-level pawn that's out there. My Steam ID is buffaloseven.

Just adding another tip because the pawn system can get kinda obscure: check the status screen for your pawns and look for "Inclinations" and make sure "Guardian" isn't one of them. It essentially makes your pawn only attack an enemy that's attacking you. Which means if you're a sorcerer/ranger that's not meant to be getting attacked very often, your pawn will mostly just stand around doing nothing. You can fix it pretty easily by sitting at one of the chairs at an inn (it's always the first question for me).

Also, maybe give your pawn a lantern/pickaxe? That's just a thing nobody ever really thinks to do, but it's pretty handy.

I might have to consider doing that with my pawn, I just hired one who did nothing but use "shield summons" every few seconds for an entire boss fight. I kinda hate the pawn AI.

At least you can throw the naughty ones off a cliff.
