reason for rejection?

I'm just wondering if, when a page or entry is rejected, a reason is generally provided.  One of my entries got rejected and I'm not entirely sure why.  I don't want to submit it again if it's just going to get rejected again, but I don't know why it was rejected in the first place.

Typically their rejected if there is already something like it or if it is copied from somewhere else,  what was it?

Yeah, but if the thing that beat you to the punch was inferior, then your post would have had a chance.

The problem is that someone got something in before you AND it was similar or better than yours

I submitted a page to "The Tick" a parody-like superhero and it was reject, and I searched and no one beat me to making it, so I wouldn't mind a rejected reason. They could leave a comment to why it was rejected, like we leave comments when editing pages.

Did you list whether or not the Tick had appeared in any games in the comment to the mod? I don't remember any tick games, so I'd be tempted to reject an entry without some upfront proof.
