In this age of digital distribution, multiplats and HD remakes i can see many a reason to decide to double dip on a game, what games do you own double?
1. The longest Journey: Disc + GoG.com + Steam
2. Planescape:Tormennt: Disc + GoG.com
3. Fatal frame: Crimson butterfly: xbox + PS2
4: Dead or alive 2: PS2 + xbox
5. Mass Effect 2: PC + PS3
6. Ninja gaiden: xbox + PS3
7. Prince of persia sands of time: PS2 + PS3

9. Disgaea 2: PS2 + PSP
10. FFTactics: PS1 + PSP

Do you own any games multiple times?
I have Borderlands GOTY on PC and 360. I have Mass Effect 2 on 360 and PC. I have Dragon Age 2 on PC and 360
Not really. Normally I just get it in one form.
There are 2 exceptions though.
Portal 2, cause I mean they gave me a STEAM copy which was nice of them for getting it for my PS3.
Bad Company 2 also, I had it for ps3 at launch and actually got it on STEAM during one of the crazy cheap days. Think it was 5 bucks lol.
Resident Evil 4 - Gamecube, Wii
Okami - PS2, Wii
Bioshock - Xbox 360, PS3
Guitar Hero 2 - Xbox 360, PS2
Blazblue Continuum Shift - 2 Copies both PS3. One is NTSC version. One is PAL and is signed by the creators.
Final Fantasy VII - PSone, PSN / Final Fantasy VIII - PSone, PSN - Bought these to play on my PSP on the bus to and from college
Mass Effect - xbox360/Ps3
Persona 3 - psp/ps2
Final fantasy 8 - PSN/PS disc
prince of persia trilogy- ps2/ps3
devil may cry 3 - first release / special edition / bundle version
I think there may be some more, but I can only think of these two at the moment.
Suikoden on PS1 disc and recently bought the PSN download of it.
Freedom Force on disc and on Steam download.
- Mass effect 1 and 2 (PC and 360)
- Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition (PC and 360, I also have the original for PC)
- The Witcher: Enhanced Edition (Retail, Steam and GoG)
- GTA IV (PS3 and PC, had it for 360 first as well)
- Oblivion (PS3 and PC, though it's the GotY version on PS3)
- Super Meat Boy (PC and 360)
Then I also have some doubles because of the free Valve Complete Pack I got from the Potato thingie.
Wow, I really need to stop buying games I already have...
Only three that I can think of...
DooM - PC, 3DO, XBLA... I feel like there's more, but I'm not at home right now. I think I may have the SNES port?
DooM 3 - Xbox, PC
Area-51 - PS2, PC
I don't own multiple copies of a game, but I have bought the same game multiple times. Like FFVII and Resident Evil 4.
I've got:
-Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance and another copy of Substance from the Metal Gear Collection
-Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence and another copy of Subsistence from the Metal Gear Collection
I will have a fourth copy of both games when I buy the HD collection.
Torchlight on PC and Xbox 360. And, AND, I bought Torchlight through Steam before Steamworks existed, so when they added Steamworks compatibility, I totally bought it again so I could have it on Mac. So 3 times I have bought Torchlight, and I'd do it again if i had to.
Borderlands - PS3, 360
GTA 4 - PS3, 360
Orange Box - PS3, Steam
That's all for now, When Mass Effect 2 is really cheap on the PS3 I'll buy it again, I love me some trophies.
I have all three versions of Persona 3
Four versions of Majora's Mask (including Virtual Console and GC Collector's Edition)
Three versions of the other Zelda games on the GC collection
Three versions of Rayman 2
Like four versions of Guilty Gear X2
A bunch of double copies of games rereleased on PSN and VC that I don't feel like mentioning
oh and a bunch of versions of Resident Evil games
Fuck my shit.
Yes, quite a few games actually.
Tropico Reloaded - disc/Steam/GOG
Stalker/Stalker Clear Sky - disc/Steam
Super Meat Boy - Xbox 360/Steam
VVVVVV - Steam/Kongregate
Braid - Xbox 360/Steam
Trine - PSN/Steam
Portal - Xbox 360/Steam
Breath of Death 7/Cthulhu Saves the World - Xbox 360/Steam
Driver - PSX/PSN
Mafia - disc/Steam
Peggle on iPhone, PSN and PC, Portal on PC and PS3, Hitman: Blood Money on PS2 and PC, Plants Vs Zombies on PC, iPhone and PSN, Braid on PSN and PC, Angry Birds on PSN and iPhone, Final Fantasies 7-9 on disc (PS1) and download (PSN).
Dragon Age Origins // PC and 360
Orange Box // PC and 360
Final Fantasy VII // PSN and PS1 Original Discs
Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World seperately for the NES and SNES respectively...
...then I bought Mario Allstars & World with all of them on one catridge. Just because I wanted the true Mario Bros. sequel in the Lost Levels. Little did I know, it was shite.
Same as above applies to the Sonic games for the Mega Drive, which I now own again in the Ultimate Mega Drive Collection.
Crysis 2 for 360 and PC.
Resident Evil 4 for PS2 and Wii.
I own Sonic the Hedgehog 1-3&Knuckles on like four different systems.
I'm sure there are others, but I can't think of them right now.
Gran Turismo 4 I have owned 3 times. First copy I sold when I moved to Canada because I couldn't take my PAL games with me anyway. Then I bought an NTSC copy which I sold when I moved back to Sweden and then I bought another PAL copy. At that point however I was so tired of it that I didn't play much. There are other games as well that I bought again over here after having sold them all when I moved back home. I have rebuilt my PS2 and XBOX1 collections a couple of times =P
I also have pretty much every Bioware game on both PC and XBOX/360
If Deadly Premonition comes out on Games on Demand over here, I'll buy it again, just because I bought it used the first time and I want to give money to SWERY.
Blazblue Continuum Shift - 2 Copies both PS3. One is NTSC version. One is PAL and is signed by the creators.I am mighty curious how you managed to obtain a signed PAL copy of blazblue, from what i recall that they treated europe as a redheaded stepchild with its 6 month long delay, hard to imagine they would delay the product so much and still think the market important enough to hold official contestst and whatnot
