Missing the Powerbombcast

Preface: Although I'm a Giantbomb listener and member I'm not an active forum user. If this is in the wrong place or wholly uncalled for in this culture, I apologize. I know and understand how disrespectful it can feel when your social area is co-opted for other means, I just couldn't think of a better way to get through to the dudes.

Second Preface: Thanks Giant Bomb dudes for all you do. You make it easier to be a human. No really.

So I stumbled on Giant Bomb through Bombing in The AM. I've loosely followed Patrick since his G4 days and saw him tweet it out. I then started listening to the bombcast and loved it.

I became a premium member to start listening to the powerbombcast as I'm a big wrestling fan. It's become the podcast I most look forward to each month. The once a month format was perfect too!

Even though they didn't draw me into premium, I've loved danswers, metal gear scanlon, unprofessional fridays, and demo derby.

My credit card expired, so I'm faced with the decision of reupping with you guys or not.

I know Jeff is struggling with wrestling. It happens. Our fandoms for everything always ebb and flow.

You guys are free dudes to do whatever, shows come and go, but I'm here as a former (and would like to be again) premium member that's saying as far as my personal time and budget goes, I probably won't be signing back up for premium unless the powerbombcast resumes. Not an ultimatum, just letting you know where I'm at. There are a lot of monthly subscriptions these days and you have to make tough choices. I thought you should know how at least one user felt.

I miss it too, I enjoyed the era when it was a monthly thing. I’m hoping they’ll do one next week for Summerslam. It seems like Austin Walker has at least some kind of an interest in pro wrestling, so maybe he could take Jeff’s spot on the show. I get the vibe Jeff is completely disinterested at this point so a podcast with just Dan, Alex and Austin talking about the latest happenings over the summer and thoughts leading into Summerslam would be fun.

Alex confirmed its triumphant return on twitter! Expect a new one around Summerslam.
