Possible To Use Controller?

Hey, just got Super Street Fighter today and was wondering how well you can get with a controller. Haven't had many problems so far, except for the occasional not picking up the right movements. 
 
Though, I'm don't think I can invest enough time into the game to make a fight-stick a worthy purchase. Any advice?

Ugh, damn General Discussion bug, sorry.

You can use most of the characters in the game and do fairly well with a pad.  Of course it all boils down to who you use though.  Ryu on a pad is easy to play, but a character like Honda is easier to play on a stick.

I wouldnt say its worth it, but thats because they cost a stupid amount for what it is.
