This podcast is all about how to keep your problems from overwhelming you and how to maintain your ability to handle things even when life gets shitty. It's exactly what the world needs right now. I have been listening since Ron made fun of their GOTY choices on the Beastcast and I recently joined his Patreon. Highly recommend his most recent episode where he talks about the protests.
Love Ron, but I sure wish that if he is going to be friends with a serial sexual assaulter, he at very least wouldn't shout him out on Giant Bomb. But he should really just not be friends with a serial sexual assaulter.
@ericsmith: Exactly my thoughts as well. Honestly I just can't look past that.
Everyone says that Hardwick was found innocent by the investigation done on him (which already doesn't mean much considering what happened with Naughty Dog in a similar fashion). But Chloe is a first-hand contact with a close friend of mine and even in her article wrote that she didn't want him to lose his job and she chose not to testify against him in the investigation because of that. It was also her doing everything she could to make the constant onslaught of death threats she was receiving stop. It got bad enough that she almost took her life a second time since she saw it as a valid escape. After the events of Hana Kimura it should be no surprise how hard of a mental toll that can be and Chloe agreed to whatever she could to make it stop. Her abuser is absolved of nothing.
Ron Funches does a lot of great things and promotes a lot of positive ideas. Remaining friends with Chris Hardwick is not one of them.
