Now that AnimeVice and GiantBomb are no longer in bed together... do I still send my Jar video questions to Jeff on AnimeVice?

The inbox is abandoned. This whole site is ruined now.

#4 Posted by NegativeCero (2995 posts) -

Send it to Comicvine, I imagine.

THE JAR IS BROKEN!

#9 Posted by AngeTheDude (666 posts) -

The JarSpot?

The HotJar?

Jar Time with Jon Davison?!?!

#10 Posted by kagato (911 posts) -

I never thought about that...i love the Jar Videos! I hope they continue and Jeff uses another random email account for his questions.

#11 Posted by AngeTheDude (666 posts) -

Send them to the NDX email!

#12 Posted by Legend (2658 posts) -

You now need to send your questions to Jeff's account on GameSpot.

#13 Posted by AngeTheDude (666 posts) -

@Legend: I wonder if his account was banned too!

#14 Posted by Dport (102 posts) -

I bet it was the Jar that sealed the deal. That thing is worth a mint.

#15 Posted by Brendan (7756 posts) -

I am wondering about this as well. I don't even visit Animevice or anything, but they were obviously financially (however small) supported by WM. Is the site just going to shut down?

#16 Posted by 20ozmonkey (116 posts) -

I'm betting the jar won't change either and we'll wind up with a jar time soon.

#17 Posted by James_Giant_Peach (751 posts) -

The jar has been smashed by the corporations man.

#18 Posted by kashif1 (1428 posts) -

Someone explain this thread to me.

#19 Posted by adoggz (2061 posts) -

The Jar went with Smith to Mythbusters.

#20 Posted by AngeTheDude (666 posts) -

@kashif1: Dude. The jar!

#21 Posted by Jimbo7676 (715 posts) -

I'm sure Jeff had this at the top of his list when negotiating this deal. Jeff: "No Jar, NO DEAL *slams table*" CBS: "Uh, Jeff we are fine with your little jar thing you do" Jeff "Oh, well good then"

Wait, inboxes arent going away right....

The Jar must be saved!

It's a premium show Jeff does where he answers user questions. To submit a question to him one would send him a PM to his inbox at Anime Vice. Now that Giantbomb and Anime Vice aren't owned by the same company people are wondering where to send questions.

#25 Posted by Athadam (685 posts) -

Well. Everyone still has an account on AnimeVice and didn't Jeff just use it as an outlet for messages? If this is so - then it should still work regardless.

#26 Posted by oobs (338 posts) -

Imagine John davidson and Jeff doing Jar time in Jeff's bedroom..well perhaps don't imaginet that.

#27 Posted by NekuSakuraba (7240 posts) -

If Anime Vice still exists, won't it still work out?

That made me chuckle - it sounds like something that might happen.

#30 Posted by Little_Socrates (5675 posts) -

Yeah, so long as Anime Vice still exists, it shouldn't be a problem.

I'm pretty sure Jeff never mentioned this in text because he only wanted premium members to know where to send the questions, so that he could easily make sure it was premium content. He could also check membership by the medals in each PM. I guess it's out in the open now though.

I don't think it will continue to be this way, as memberships aren't going to be the same between the two new companies so it will become less reliable. He could start an email and only give it out in premium jar time videos, or he could make a new standard phony GB account and tell us the username so we could PM that instead. That way he still can check memberships and there should be enough new members for it not to stand out.

I'm assuming now he can just get a whole separate e-mail account for it.
