Activision announces Geometry Wars 3

Made by a Studio Lucid Games, "which has produced a small number of mobile games", according to the article. If I'm reading the article correctly, the game will be published by Sierra (which is owned by Activision).

I'm on the fence about this since it's not the original developer, but still, Brad's probably gonna be happy about this. The original is one of my favourite games of all time, no joke.

I'm not seeing the point of this being published by Sierra other than it looks like a old game. Hopefully this turns out to be good since I also really enjoyed the 1st Geometry Wars.
