I still buy physical copies for games that I know I'm going to enjoy/play for ages.

Looking on Amazon, http://www.amazon.co.uk/Metal-Gear-Solid-Phantom-Pain/dp/B00D781HS6/, there is no copy for PC, just consoles. Do we know if a physical release for PC is planned?

I don't see why they wouldn't. I guess we'll know more after E3?

Looking on the Konami Website it only lists Steam for PC.

Based on the fact that there was also no physical release for Ground Zeroes on PC, I'd say it would be very unlikely. It's a shame, it would have been nice to have the option to get the collectors edition for PC.

@selbie: It's a different company, but WB have already said they're not putting out Batman Arkham Knight on disc for PC. It's digital download only. And like @guybrush said, there was no physical copy of GZs so it seems unlikely they'll put one out for this game, unless the game is GTA V sized.

I can understand saving on production costs, but for such a big title it seems odd to ignore physical copies. They don't have a pre-order page yet for Steam so until that is up I guess we won't really know.
