Blogging platforms

Any suggestions for someone wanting to start a blog?

I've heard of blogger and wordpress and a friend suggested these 1&1 but I don't know which is the best for me. I want something easy to use, that I don't have to play around with too much, that I can start off simple and maybe build upon a bit later if it goes well. I'd like to make some money from it at some point in the future but at first will just be getting a feel for it.

Also, how often do people post? I was thinking once a week.

If you don't know what you're doing, you're probably best off just starting a Tumblr blog. It's dead simple, and easy to hook up with other people and build an audience.

Also, I've removed your link since a new user posting a link like that comes across as spammy. I don't think you're intentionally spamming us or anything, but I just want to avoid other people thinking that.

you should start with wordpress in my opinion. it ain't as simple as tumblr, but you will learn a few important things you could need in the future
