How did you come up with those categories?  Half of those on the poll are not even proper nuts.

Culinary nuts are pseudo nuts which are just called nuts.... 
botanical nuts are REAL TRUE nuts which are nuts according to the biological definition of a nut.

ah okay. although I believe that coconut is still a big argument over if it is a nut, a seed or a fruit.

wikipedia says its a culinary nut... im not sayin wiki is the truth but my sources for the coconut are wiki so complain there and maybe change the article or whatever.

coconut is a drupe. think of it as a dry peach that's missing the stone in the center.
