One of the greatest stories ever told. If you haven't read it yet, go to your local Barnes and Noble and pick up a copy. Make sure you read it before the film is released. Such an intellectually fulfilling book that takes your moral compass and flips in on its head. Way ahead of it's time, and has yet to be surpassed. There aren't enough superlatives in the English language that could describe Watchmen. Just read it.
Just re-read Watchmen
I actually took the time to read this, it wasn't all bad. (Never read a comic in his life besides this one.)
And lol blue guy has a small dick.

Let me quote Wikipedia:
"Watchmen is a twelve-issue comic booklimited series written by Alan Moore and illustrated by Dave Gibbons. Originally published by DC Comics as a monthly limited series from 1986 to 1987, it was later republished as a trade paperback, which popularized the "graphic novel" format. To date, Watchmen remains the only graphic novel to win a Hugo Award, and is also the only graphic novel to appear on Time Magazine's 2005 list of "the 100 best English-language novels" published since the founding of the magazine in 1923.Watchmen is set in 1985, in an alternate historyUnited States where costumed adventurers are real and the country is edging closer to a nuclear war with the Soviet Union (the Doomsday Clock is permanently set at five minutes to midnight). It tells the story of a group of past and present superheroes and the events surrounding the mysterious murder of one of their own. Watchmen depicts superheroes as real people who must confront ethical and personal issues, who struggle with neuroses and failings, and who—with one notable exception—lack anything recognizable as super powers. Watchmen's deconstruction of the conventional superhero archetype, combined with its innovative adaptation of cinematic techniques and heavy use of symbolism, multi-layered dialogue, and metafiction, has influenced both comics and film."

"It's actually really cool, I like the fact how Rorscach one of the protagonists looks like such a loser, and it makes you understand why he's such a legendary character. You are I are repping batman
"
My brother bought a copy of it not to long ago. Once my summer semester is over and and I have 3 weeks of free time, I will read it.
"This thread has made me really interested in reading it myself. Thanks, I'll be sure to pick it up in the near future. :DThe naked blue guy was the clincher eh?
"
>_< Had to do it.
I'll probably just watch the movie when it comes out, dont really want to bother reading the graphic novel.

I've never read a comic in my life and had no interest in them and I hate reading all together, but I took a chance and looked into this, it's actually pretty good.
Edit:
There was some boobies, so it kept my attention.

Has anyone ever noticed how similar The Watchmen and The Dark Night Returns are?
just replace Rorschach with Batman and Dr. Manhattan with Superman and Nixon with Reagan.
"Is it like a book, or a comic book with thought bubbles and what not. It's a line of fast food restaurants.

I've never read a graphic novel. It's one of those things that I know I'll enjoy, but have never gotten around to doing. Perhaps if the movie is good I'll go and read the novel beforehand.
