Koffing pumpkin!

I made a Koffing pumpkin for halloween this year in memory of Ryan Davis.

I've done a few video game themed pumpkins in the past but this is the first time I ever tried shading in a pumpkin carving.

If anyone else has a cool pumpkin they made (video game themed or otherwise) I'd love to see it!

Sick Koffing pumpkin, yo. But how did Koffing become the defacto Ryan Davis memorial Pokemon? It was always Jeff that was most into Koffing, I thought. (and yes, I know about the Olly Moss picture)

If I recall correctly, Ryan was totally into Koffing as well. Also, it's a good alternative to that kind of freaky Ryan-chu picture.

Those are really cool. I have a ghastly pumpkin and a Manny (from grim fandango) pumpkin from the last few years aswell, I'll post some pictures later when I get a chance.

@mormonwarrior I remember Ryan mentioning on a few separate occasions on the bombcast that seeing a picture of Koffing would instantly cheer him up.

@i_stay_puft Good idea. I'll try to keep the ball rolling with some of my previous efforts. Here are some pumpkins my girlfriend and I did last year, her Panda-kun from Polar Bear Café on the left and my Ghastly on the right.

@itwongo I use lino cutting tools to do mine, you should be able to find them for fairly cheap online or at an art supply shop if you're interested.

Also Ghastly was a rear projection pumpkin.

Dude. Holy shit. I am dying to give this sort of thing a shot. I've always been a pretty decent hand when it comes to drawing weird shit, and something about carving in a pumpkin is speaking to me. Unfortunately, I'm lame and didn't buy one to experiment with this year. NEXT YEAR.

The detail in the shading of that Koffing is... super effective.

This is my Manny from a few years back. That's all my pumpkins, keep on posting yours!

Maybe, the sky's the limit, I think there are about 2000 pokémon to choose from now.

@bbalpert: @sunless: Well I suppose we can agree that Giant Bomb in general is a big supporter of Koffing. Now that I think about it, both Jeff and Ryan liked Koffing a lot.
