You know, that sort of music that soothes a bad day, anything could have happened but you put on that track, and listen as for 4-5 minutes all the problems fade away.
Post it here so that we can broaden our musical tastes, and the airwaves shall flow with positive waves, Groovy

Pink Floyd, Aphex Twin's ambient stuff, Aim, Bonobo, Junior Boys, earlier DJ Shadow stuff, Trentemøller, Röyksopp, Gotye, and a fair bit of classical.

Actually, now that I've mentioned Gotye, I'm gonna pimp my man Wally here:

The Whitest Boy Alive.  No, really, go listen to them now.  Great music to chill out to.

Pink Floyd for me also! When I was in Iraq that's pretty much all I listened to when I slept.   I've also really gotten into listening to classical music. Actually, lately that's been my main 'go to sleep' music. Dvorak, Mozart, Holst, and Beethoven to be exact.

You should maybe check out Debussy, too. Lovely stuff.

Oooh, thanks for reminding me! The Solaris soundtrack is amazing - it's deep, ambient, and I find it very relaxing.

Love Spirals Downward is another good band that relaxes me.  Very dreamy sounding.
