Night shift

 When there's work to do, its right up my alley. But when there's no work to be done, this twelve hour shift sucks balls. Takes forever.  
 
Any other board night shifters out there?

What do you normally do during your down time?

Watch movies, surf the net, debate movies, try to raise my Whiskey media site levels.
 
When we are down, we are down.

No electronics allowed on my job site. So when there's nothing to do I bust out a pen and notepad or sing loudly.

Same boat brother, at work now, 11 pm on a Monday night, actually, it's afternoon shift, best shift out there, 11 am wake up, 3 am sleep, ohhh yeah,

I start at 2 pm and finish at 12, sometimes it's a 12 hour shift, but that is rare,

best hours ever, and I get shift allowance and my breaks are paid for, dayshift is for suckers.

My last job had 2 12 hour night shifts per week.
 
It was usually pretty busy but yeah, when it was quiet it was TERRIBLE.

I do like the extra pay that comes with the shift. And when its down time like this, I just remind myself that I'm getting base + 15% and OT for everything after 8 hours.

Yeah, summer is a slow time for me, I'm bored. 

i work from midnight to 8am myself, but in the slow times I can can browse the net or watch whatever i have on my 8gig flashdrive, so it goes by fast :p

I don't mind it on Tuesdays when its slow, get to listen to the whole Bombcast uninterrupted.

New question for the bored up late - What are your favorite browser based time wasters? You know those flash games that eat up the minutes or hours of down time that you have.

I do the occasional night shift every month or so.

You should check out Happy Wheels, Pandemic 2 and Infectonator World Dominator.

8pm to 8am (no lunch break) here. It's fun.

when i was younger i had kind of a night shift. i would work double shifts a lot of times. a couple of times i would work 17 hour shifts and then come home sleep wake up and go to work again. it was pretty boring sometimes when there was nothing to do. i worked in the kitchen so there was a lot of down time when the food was out.

I hate working nights...it messes everything up

I used to work nights for my college, doing food service. Let me tell you being the only place students with a meal plan can eat after 10 pm is not fun at all. Working till 3 every morning then waking up in the afternoon makes you feel like such a worthless fuck, or at least it did to me. Everyone else is like halfway through their day and I'm watching TV and eating cereal.
