So I made a thread in the G D Forums http://www.giantbomb.com/forums/general-discussion/30/old-consoles-sega-playstation-and-n64/248669/?page=1
And I used a word, (Blat, that in New Zealand, mainly means have a go) well I got a response from The A Drain, What? Blat, what does that mean? Naturally since he only heard it as an exclamation.
So How about a thread of commonly used sayings in your country, that other people from the world might seem odd or out of place.
We can broaden our use of language and have a laugh at the same time.
Peace Out.

Other culture's sayings and difrent use of language.
I Know that in Russian business woman can be misconstrued as prostitute. So says my Russian friend anyway. I've got nothing on Ye-Olde England's catchphrases though, other than cockney rhyming slang.
I'm from NZ and I've never heard someone say blat before. I can't even think of any weird sayings from where I live.
Um, i think when urban dictionary disagrees with you're you're just making stuff up. Blat. huh.
