RIP Kenny Baker, the tiny actor who played R2-D2

One of the original Star Wars cast has died, Kenny Baker, who played R2-D2. He played the robot in the first six movies, but was only listed as a "consultant" in The Force Awakens.

That is really neat picture. Three well-known actors from one of the most famous movie franchises of all time, standing there with three people almost no one would ever recognize. And yet, because they're all together, you immediately understand who they are, and who plays each part.

In one of the linked articles, it tells how Kenny Baker and Anthony Daniels—the actor who played C-3PO—didn't get along well in real life. It's funny that a pair of people playing squabbling robots in movies couldn't get along when out of costume either.

All those Star Wars films, Time Bandits (a gem of a movie), Williow (another gem), and Labyrinth. Those are some of the most classic Sci/Fantasy film of the last 40 years!

I don't know, they look like best buds to me.

Once again: Fuck 2016. So many greats lost this year.
