@dudeglove: I can understand why they wouldn't want to offer paypal as a payment method, it's just at the moment it's the only way I could subscribe. It would be nice to have the option though.
The main reason GB hasn't been big on using paypal from the start is because it's extremely disadvantageous to them from a business perspective. For example, with the year subscription, you pay $50 via the payment form thingy on Whiskey's site, and Whiskey gets those $50. Via paypal, GiantBomb would not get $50, because paypal would rape them on the commission. Paypal aren't entirely reliable as a online transaction service either.GB aren't doing it to be mean, or ensure that the site's subscribers are 18+ only - it simply saves a lot of hassle (and money). Paypal business rates are reasonable. They could just specify for yearly account only and it would make it pay. I know they are missing out on a lot of overseas money (mine included).
I am assuming there is another reason that paypal never happened and tbh they should just make a post about it and then ppl would stop going on about paypal.

I know, but Whiskey must have a merchant account with a bank in order to accept credit and debit cards and they will be charged per transaction - so while it may be less than paypal commission Whiskey do not get $50 for every membership. They get $50 less whatever the processing fee is. This is how visa etc make money.
