Ok basically, I want to make some sick beats and lay some vocals down, I want the easiest software to work with, does anyone know of anything?

You'll need a variety of pieces of software for that.  Maybe something like audacity for starters.

Well, you could try ReBirth. It's free, It's powerful and it's complicated as all hell. But you'll be able to create some awesome synthetic music.

I was going to suggest this. The only drawback is the hefy pricetag...

Yeah I had a feeling that fruityloops was expensive, but I know that program is incredibly easy to learn AND it actually does assist in making good beats -- assuming you have the talent to compose something worthy
