So, if anyone can talk me out of this I would be much appreciated. I'm a huge Lord of the Rings fan owning all the movies and most of the books released for the series. I bought the first one when it was released but learned my lesson quickly and bought the extended versions of the next 2. Anyway I recently bought the extended Blu-rays and it's left me in a bit of a conundrum. I really like the covers for the extended DVDs quite a bit. So much so that I'm probably just going to put the Blu-ray versions of the movies in the extended covers. Well the problem is that I don't own the original extended version of Fellowship of the Ring. I'm leaning toward buying the original extended version just to swap out the discs. I know it's a complete waste of money but... I don't know. Any collectors out there who would do it?

Uh, maybe you should buy the rest of the books? Especially if you're going to say you're a huge fan.
@Spoonman671: I've read all of them. One of them I didn't like so didn't bother buying it after I read it.
Thought this was going to be about something completely different...
Anyway, I assume you mean the large fold out covers? Those are great.
If you can spare the money then go for it!!

Are you talking about this one? I'll sell you mine for $600.
Wait, I'll sell you mine and I'll add an random object for 620.
@ninjakiller: the ratio of young titties to hairy hobbit feet definitely works in Game of Thrones favor, but overall i can't endorse your statement.
Sure, they're like 10$ in stores anyway. If that's what you really want. Personally I wouldn't be able to stand the idea of having blu-rays when the case says DVD, and also storing blu-rays in a DVD case when Blu-rays have those nice, tiny ones that fit well on shelves seems like craziness to me.
