The Bombcast poster

Maybe this answer is obvious but I get confused as to who the characters on the bombcast caricature actually represent. First I always thought Vinny was the english cop, and Brad the dude in the bathrobe due to the cop looks like he's taller. But when I look at the actual haircolor and facial features it looks more like the other way around.

I need to know the truth.

The cop has sideburns, therefore Brad.

One question that's bugged me forever - what is that brassy squiggle in the right corner?
