As with all quests, we must have a prologue.

I've been constantly visiting this website for quite a few months now. I didn't stumble upon it by accident, like you do with so many great sites, but I was told that I HAD to watch this amazing series online called the Endurance Run by a friend of mine. I think at the time it hadn't reached episode 50 but it was starting to get close. So, when I got round to remembering the name of the site (after constantly typing in awesomebomb in google and not finding anything) and proceeded to join everyone else for a daily dose of ER. There's not much I can say about the series that hasn't been said because it was brilliant. Just comedy from both the game and the gamers but there came a point where, as much as I was enjoying the running commentary, I was really enjoying watching the game more. For years I've been a massive RPG fan. I'm not a specialist, I haven't played every great game to come out in genre nor could a quote verse and passage every great one I have played, but I love the style to it. There's just something in an RPG that really makes me enjoy games. So, slightly out of wanting to see the whole story first and slightly out of wanting to see what would happen through other choices (social link stuff and the like) that weren't made in the Endurance Run, I bought Persona 4. The game was just fantastic and really made me want to just start playing more of my old RPGs and maybe grab some new ones too (Persona 3 FES is certainly on the list). So that is what this (hopefully continuing) blog will be about. I'm going to play some of the classics, re-visit some of my personal favourites and branch out to the newer games to save the world over and over again. It's not going to solely be a review nor solely a commentary on what I did but hopefully somewhere in that middle ground where it's still entertaining to read.

Any ideas for possible games are welcome and I'd love to here what everyone else actually thinks or enjoys about these games, the story, the characters, the design, anything.

So until the next chapter
