Since i just posted about Quentin Tarantino,I figured I'd follow up with his friend and fellow direction, Robert Rodriguez. One of my favorite things about him is the fact that he doesn't restrict himself to any genres. I used to love the Spy Kids movies growing up, and it took me until about two months ago to realize he directed them. Namely, because I always associated him with movies like El Mariachi, Desperado, Sin City, From Dusk Til' Dawn, etc. Anyway, I want to know what your personal favorite is and why!

Mine are, in order, Sin City, Desperado, and El Mariachi. Sin City is one of the best stories I can think of, Desperado had some of the best choreographed action scenes I've ever seen, and El Mariachi was just very well done, especially for only being his second film. After that, I might have to say Once Upon a Time in Mexico and then Spy Kids 2...don't be hatin'. Realizing Uncle Machete was...well, Machete, was one hell of a laugh for me.

@Dany: Sin City was just great in every way. Told three different stories so nothing got old. It was just well done, simply.

Planet Terror and Machete, also, that Spy Kids movie where the Kid goes to a videogame. I fuckin' love Robert Rodriguez. My sister said her favorite movies from him are Shark Boy & Lava Girl and Sin City. Yes, in that order.

@MikeGosot: Shark Boy and Lava Girl was like the worst, for me. Lol, But seeing Taylor Lautner as a skinny kid is hilarious. And I love him as well!

@SpencerTucksen: C'mon, my sister is 9 years old. I kind of like Shark Boy and Lava Girl because it's like using LSD, i think.

@MikeGosot: That is an understandable comparison. And only people who are this many *holds up all fingers* get votes! Lol, It was an okay movie and definitely had the Spy Kids vibe. But it wasn't stellar or anything, for me.

Sin City, though there's something I really really like about Desperado and less so Once Upon a Time in Mexico.

@SpencerTucksen: My sister just loves eye candy. That's one of the reasons she loved Sin City. And she loved the "message" of Shark Boy & Lava Girl 'cause she dreams a lot. One day she told me she wanted to see a Mario game where he was a cowboy.

Planet Terror was amazing. Sin City was really cool, and while Machete didn't quite meet my expectations (I was expecting it to be crazier), I liked that a lot too.

Aside from that, the only other R. Rodriguez movie I can think of that I've seen is Spy Kids, and I don't really remember anything about that movie. I think I liked it when I saw it thoough.

@MikeGosot: Yes, absolutely. Although, in the time of cowboys, they had no plumbing. But God damn it, they can make it work!

I thought Machete was kind of a retarded social commentary. Sin City was good though.

Sin City hands down. Followed by From Dusk Till Dawn. I was pretty disappointed by Machete though. I thought Planet Terror was better.

I was thinking the same thing, my friend. Jumping on mushroom men and turtles being good examples. And the Wii U. That too.

@Redbullet685: @SSValis: Planet Terror WAS definitely better than Machete, to me.
