Your Top Body Augment Pick

I was watching Austin's Extra Life stream yesterday and he was talking about cyber-augmentations in the future. A train of thought began with me wondering what the first realistic augments would be and how they would effect society in the workplace. Then I became curious as to what everyone's first choice of body augmentation would be, if you could pick just on and money was not an issue. It doesn't necessarily have to be a cyber augmentation. Do consider the negatives of your choice and acknowledge them in your post. Would you choose something that allows you to enjoy your passions or something to make you more productive? Something subtle or very apparent?

Being a very eclectic person, mine would easily be to no longer necessitate sleep. I would want an augmentation that would no longer require my body daily sleep in order to maintain good health. Ergo, you do not become tired. My worry is there would be psychological repercussions. Also, if this

I'd take new eyes and a new spine in an instant.

I want new eyes, because the ones I have now are fucking garbage and full of floaters. Preferably with Terminator-like vision that gave me informational readouts of what I was looking at. Also, one really cool, strong cybernetic arm would be great.

I've gotta go with robot eyes that can see more of the electromagnetic spectrum. The downside would probably be potential visual overload. The human brain wasn't really made to handle seeing further than it was designed to. But assuming you could eventually acclimate, I'd choose new eyes (hopefully with zoom capabilities too.)

- New ears. Doc says they are fine but i have the worst time hearing

- Some kind of mobile connection so i could then scroll the internet using my left eye while i talk to people are ignore them.

- Also i would build drones of all types so i can control them with my MIND.

Any organs I need ill be able to 3d print with stem cells or whatever they wind up calling it (BIOPASTE)

I'd like to have control over the growth of my hair and fingernails. Tired of keeping up with that.

I'd want eyes or maybe hands/arms. My eyes need contacts or glasses or I just can't survive the day. Hands would be nice to help fight the effects of how much I have to use my hands daily. I will no doubt have chronic problems that will develop in the future. Would be cool to just get rid of that problem altogether.

I'm all-in. Slap my brain into a modular robot body. Maybe I feel like having tank treads today.

Fully programmable metabolic systems. Redirect all fat toward muscle generation, improve heart endurance, etc. Also, eyes that don't suck like all human eyes do :-)

Not needing to sleep would be amazing.

If I could not have pain in my knees/back and have super strength in both, that would be great.

Seriously though having instantaneous mind connection to the internet and google whatever i need right away would be amazing. I could finally keep up with practically everyone else that has a much better memory than me. Have to be able to produce the info instantly though.

Not sure if that counts as augmentation or flat out superhuman ability but w/e...

Just let me put my body in stasis. Give me an android to control remotely with all 6 senses intact, thus giving me a sort of 'semi-immortality'. Then if I get sick of existing I have the option to go find my body in stasis and destroy it.

i want to enhance my brains. Get that wikipedia in my head, reduce noise from worries to be able to focus better, learn how to fly a plane instantly etc.

Eyes maybe. No need for glasses even in old age and possibly some fancy extras like night-vision. Even better if I could use them as some kind of computer interface. Downside? Eye-hacking. I can just imagine the kind of shitty hacker troll that people could do.

I think no sleep would pretty much ruin our society. Businesses would catch on and make them mandatory augments so people can work 24 hours a day.

Can I just cheat and just say I wanna go all in right off the bat? Gimme the full prosthetic body. Let's fucking do this. I don't think I could choose just one thing. I just imagine it would feel too weird for me personally. If I'm going to embrace this cyberpunk future, it's all or nothing.
