Best buy has this computer as deal of the day for $350. I've heard the AMD Quad-Core A4-5000 is what's in the ps4 and xbox one. So my question is how does this compare with the ps4 and does this make a above average gaming computer for a real cheap price. I'm interested but I have my doubts.

The graphics card is garbage and every game requires 8gb of RAM, you aren't going anywhere with that.

Ok got it, video card is not up to what is needed for modern games and not enough ram. Thanks everyone from keeping me from spending $350 that I didn't have.

The video card is just onboard graphics. The processor is the problem, not really the graphics(because it doesn't really have any). I have no idea what the specs are of the PS4 or X1 but you cant compare them directly with a PC using the same components.

@71ranchero: yea I also get that a pc needs to run the os, so it really needs more power to really match. I just wasn't familiar with the amd processor, one article I read did say that this is what's in it, just they use more cores. Had a feeling it would still be way off on the power.

@71ranchero: this is the article that compared it to the ps4 and the xbox one for anyone doubting.

This is absolutely not true at all. It's only recent that games started using 4GB of ram, most uses 2GB. 8GB is usually what people recommend being the top amount of ram you stick in a computer if games is the most taxing you're going to use on your system.

check those specs out instead, i wouldn't buy a pre-built pc from bestbuy if you plan on gaming. At the end of the day you get what you pay for, and you may just be better off getting a ps4.
