SCEI Japan hiring for The Last Guardian

They are looking for:

1. Game Planner

2. Game programmer

3. Motion designer

4. Graphic designer

5. FX / Particle designer

6. Line producer / Associate producer

Interestingly enough, the page states that it's for PS3, but who knows if their HR just stick the PS3 name on it to avoid unintended news leak or because it's actually still for PS3.

The next several sections of their hiring page are Job Descriptions, Job Requirements, and Methods To Submit Applications. Pretty standard stuff.

The Last Guardian 6 should of been on PS4.

Maybe it's just my natural cynicism, but to me this just further cements the idea that they're never going to finish this goddamn game.

Yeah, looking at the fact that they are still hiring planner, programmer and FX designer, makes me wonder if there will be any news about it in 2014. But their job description for line / associate producer also includes budgeting and marketing responsibilities.

Those sound like jobs you hire for early on in the process, not nearly 5 years after it's announced. This game is never coming out. Just go play Brothers and squint a little. That's as close as you'll get

This just confirms to be the game we saw so many years ago is DEAD.

this game becoming a PS3 port to PS4 is a joke

Probably had staff in the old positions moved to other projects and now they're looking to start this one up again.

Good to see that they're finally starting development up again, although at this point I imagine that game has been through some development hell and I'm pretty worried about the quality and vision of the final game should it ever come out.

There was also that recent interview with the guy where is it.

This is really old news. A terrible infograph I made 4 months ago. Those job postings have been there for a while now.

It makes perfect sense to hire additional staff as your project finally gains traction, right? This doesn't mean they didn't already have people under all or some of these positions.

I want this game to come out and suck, watching that happend would be more fun than the game itself.

Last guardian... reminds me of a game called Half-life 3...
