Giant Bomb's Tricky Towers Tournament!

Hello fellow duders! I thought it would be fun to hold a tournament with the giant bomb community for this game using the "play with friends feature". The tournament will be held this Sunday and for any who would like to join just put your gamertag in a comment below (please specify what platform you are on).

Each match will need to be streamed on twitch in order to monitor the outcome of the matches (should work on ps4 and pc). The tourney will be held using a helpful little site called MatchPlay, the format of the tourney will be dictated by the amount of people who are in the tournament. Registrations will be open till Saturday 12:00am pst.

The game mode will be survival.

(For @theharribokid, since no one else is on pc for this tournament in order for you to participate you will have to find another person who can play consecutive matches with on pc or buy the game on ps4 in order to participate. I'm sorry it had to go down this way.)

Registrations have slowed down enough that I think I can safely pick the tourney format. Since we have a small group with an odd number of people I decided to make a modified Round Robin/Group Play format. There will be 5 X four player rounds rounds and each player will get to play X-1 rounds each, this means that for one of your rounds you will have to leave the game and let the person who did not play the last round join. I will post more detailed directions once registration has ended at 12:00am pst.

The tourney will start on Sunday at 12:00pm pst.

(edit: X = the amount of players participating in the tourney. If the player count gets past 8 the tourney will adopt an elimination format (so it won't take forever).)

Registration is up! Be ready at 12:00 pst for the tournament by accepting my friend request (so we can use the play with friends feature) and make sure to be logged into your ps4 by that time. When It is your turn to sit out for a game I will send you a pm for when to sit out and when to come back in. There will be one game that I will have to sit out on so I will have to request that someone playing stream that match so the outcome can be counted.

also both @johnnymcginley and @cheetoman have not accepted their friend requests so if they do not accept them by 12pst we will just knock down the tourney to a continuous 4-player game for 5 rounds.

hey guys. i'm enjoying the game a lot but have been out of town so couldn't make it in time for the tourney. if there's ever another one, i'm on board in case people are gauging interest

(Edit 2: the reason we went for 8 rounds instead of the initially agreed upon 5 is that we felt it was over too quickly so we decided to extend it for 3 more rounds.)

Yeah I suck, but it was still fun. Look forward to doing it again. Hopefully get some more people next time.
