    Definition of badass!

God of War 3 is hands down one of most amazing, epic action games ever made and it will stay at top of that list for some time, since i don't see any game/studio being able to mimic some of amazing set pieces done in this game for few years at least.
Officially God of war 3 had huge budget, 44 million $ to be precise and it shows. For most part game is absolutely stunning looking and nothing comes close to it on console market. Shear amount of scale, combined with incredible texture detail, mind blowing Kratos model really makes this game an eye candy and worthy show piece of what your PS3 can do. Near the end of the game, seemed not as polished as first 85% of the game, reasoning to that is probable lack of time in development cycle, but it's not big deal, it's just that game looks so good, and when there some details not on highest level, you kind a notice it.
Gameplay is best in series, all weapons have finally been balanced so no matter what weapon you use it is fun to play with. Sure blades are still the best but weapon like cestes is super awesome and super fun to use. You feel like heavyweigh boxer, just smashing everything in your way with power punches. There are some new moves like grappling on to a opponent and pulling yourself towards him and smashing into him or grabbing an opponent and doing powerful football tackle rush through rest of opponents, it is so fun and you feel like powerful bad ass. Also addition of the bow as sub weapon is great decision, think of them as guns in devil may cry. Weapon you can use on distance, it doesn't cause great damage but it keeps action flow on high level and keeps you busy, great design choice. Also great for puzzle elements.
That's one more thing great about this game, compared to old games. Puzzles are much much better and more fun to do. Instead of generic "push this rock over there", now puzzles are more intuitive, not complicated and overall just more fun to do.
To me God of war 3 has best gameplay out of all God of war games. It is more fluid, pace is ala Uncharted 2, you are non stop doing something, there are no dull moments in God of war 3.
What God of war 3 is missing if you ask me...one more huge epic boss battle near the end ...at begging: (SPOILER) there is Poseidon, in the middle there is Kronos (END SPOILER) and end we needed one more Titan battle, that's how i feel. But we go back to "not having time-game had to be released", but it's okey, game is stellar, A MUST BUY, any PS3 owner should have this in their collection. You will most definitely play this game at least twice and some 18-20 hours of gameplay are worth 60$ and this types of games need to be supported. I can not highly enough recommend this game. If you have PS3 you have to experience this game, and even if you didn't like first two God of war games i still think you should give it a shot just to experience some of the most amazing moments in gaming history.

A funny thing happened a few hours into God of War III: it became really, really amazing. Perhaps it was the over hyping of the first 30 minutes that so many previews had gushed about. Perhaps it was the considerable increase in hack’n’slashery that I had done this year. Maybe it was even the incredibly misguided Platinum trophy runs of Dante’s Inferno that I had done, but I just was not into this game at all. The giant bosses, the same combat I had played with twice before, and the puzzles whic...

Please note - This review and the videos being shown may contain spoilers, so read and watch at your own risk if you have not beaten the game yet. The God of War franchise has been unrivaled in terms of pushing the action genre and the Playstation consoles to their limits with amazing graphics, an epic sense of scale, memorable battles against foes that are way bigger than Kratos, the Ghost of Sparta, and one of the best theatrical scores in the gaming business. God of War III has been a long t...
