I complained about the Rock Band pricing, and now I've got it and it's one of the best purchases I ever made. If it's too much for you, find some friends to split it with. The game is supposed to be about playing together anyway.

When you can buy a console and a game (PS2) for the cost of  rock band or guitar hero world tour yeah its just too much.

And the last thing I need is to split the cost with my friends..but we're stuck with only one copy.

Whatever, it's a better deal than actually buying the instruments and getting lessons... well the drums anyway. It's a party game, I have disposable income, and I'm hyped for the game. This is a no-brainer for me.

Okay, I'm guessing you're all from the US. How can you be complaining about Rock Band prices ?!? I would have easily paid 170€ (that's times ca. 1.5 in $), even as a student, because I loved Guitar Hero so much. Now, the problem is, it costs 240€ over here (again, times ca. 1.5 for $, that's $360 !!!!!). So you can actually get an Xbox 360 Arcade for the same price. A freakin' 360! That is expensive.

GH:WT is my last hope, they have to get their stuff together and demand a reasonale price. I will buy it if it costs under 200€, otherwise, I'll have to pass again. It's jsut a rip-off and I won't let them do that to us European gamers.

I've played Guitar Hero 1-3 on PS2 and I refuse to buy a new plastic guitar and other new plastic instruments to accompany it.  I enjoy the full band idea, and have had fun playing Rock Band with friends.  The downloadable content of the next-gen versions is also pretty badass.  But how much money can one really rationalize spending on pretending to play music?  For me, not much more than I've already spent, and I love me some rhythm games.
