    Do the multiplayer maps look boring to anyone else?

    *Disclaimer*: I have this game pre-ordered and can't wait to play it. 
     
    After watching some video streams and previews it seems like a good chunk of multiplayer takes place on the Forge World maps. The problem with this for me is the template for these levels is so plain. Green grass and dirt on the ground, rocks, Gray concrete walkways, blue skies. They could have the best level design ever, play great, and they would still look dull to me. 
     
    Surely I'm an asshole that can never be pleased, right? I don't think so. 
     
    The ambition of Forge World may allow for some interesting custom maps to be made but they will all be woven from the same thread. 
      
    Now there will, of course, be other maps with different templates used: snow levels, Covenant levels, and so on. But does anyone else feel that the Forge levels are a bit dull in comparison and would have preferred different scenery?

    There are 8 other maps, and there will most likely be more coming by way of dlc. I am also disappointed about the amount of maps, but oh well they put a lot of crap in the game that makes up for that.

    I prefer bright daytime maps to dark or dull maps so I don't mind. You can use filters to change the brightness and other stuff so things might look different and I think you can still forge on the other maps if you want might be wrong though. 
     
    Besides Halo 3 had lots of forge maps which were all taken form Sandbox which was just a desert and they all had a different feel, to me at least.

    I'm so bad at multiplayer FPSs that I usually don't even have time to take in and judge the scenery as it takes every once of my concentration just to try to stay alive.
     
    ...not to mention actually getting a kill :P

    I've noticed that too but maps like the ivroy tower remake look so pretty im a happy boy. Does anybody know if theres a snow level? There my favourite Halo levels...

    I like the Forerunner architecture of Forge World, and I definitely prefer outdoor to indoor when it comes to the setting of a multiplayer map.
     
    To each his own I suppose.

    The Ivory Tower remake alone is enough for me to disagree with you. That's one of the prettiest maps I've ever seen.

    @Pie: There is but it is being viewed by the community and Bungie as a spoiler. I think it is Firefight only though.
