    Halo: Reach

Game » consists of 13 releases. Released Sep 14, 2010

A prequel to Halo: Combat Evolved, chronicling one of the most cataclysmic events of the Halo Universe through the eyes of a squad of Spartan super-soldiers known as Noble Team. It is also the last game in the series developed by Bungie.

    The music is awesome.

I'm not even far through the game yet, but man I am totally loving the music in this game. I know the music has always been great in previous instalments, but the diversity in this one is pretty damn cool. In the first mission there's a cool cutscene and the music hits. I would post a video, but no. It's damn cool though. I hope you guys enjoy that part as much as I did!

I've heard the music for the opening of Tip of the Spear, and man, that sounds amazing! I love the little riff on the Halo theme about halfway through it.

    Glad to hear it's awesome!

I wouldn't expect anything less from Marty O'Donnell.

Marty O'Donnell always composes some of the best tracks I've heard out of any medium.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was inspired by Maurice Jarre.

@Baillie: You seem like a nice guy. But I totally hate you right now, haha. I had to purchase from Gamestop because I had a giftcard and some store credit, I usually order online as well.

It still can not be better than the music in Halo 1.That kicked major ass.

I like O'Donnell quite a bit, but I think Murray Gold of the recent Doctor Who revival is better :)

@Dylabaloo: A few UK retailers have sent it out early - in his case, Zavvi.

Sounds pretty good. I generally like Halo music a lot, and I like Marty O'Donnell, but he's kinda becoming like the John Williams of video game music, not a whole lot of variation.

Also they have ALL the copies of reach at my local blockbuster just sitting there riiiiight outta reach. I'm jealous.

Edit: Oh god, oh god, awful AWFUL pun NOT intended.

    @Dylabaloo: STOLE IT, MAN.

@XII_Sniper: Haha, that was quite awful. I hate when there's a new game out and you can't get it because of the street date. Yet there it is, right infront of you on some shop's counter.

So, I'm on mission 5 now guys, I want another cool in game cutscene like there was in the first/second mission. I'll be gutted if there isn't. :(

O'Donnell is just amazing at what he does, so I'm not surprised. Can't wait to play the game and hear the tunes in the campaign for myself.

I found this link, where you can preview all tracks. They are really great!

    I'm loving the eastern vibe.
