I freaking love this Beta but unfortunately my favourite mode is being ruined by idiots.
In stockpile (the one with hella flags) i'll run/fly/sneak over to a flag and bring it back home only to have some idiot pick the flag up as soon as I drop it so they can then score the point, ive even saw idiots pick it up right at the end of the timer and miss the point!
Apart from this im loving the Beta, just a few things like increasing the power of the needler rifle and this game will be pretty damn good!
Has anybody else saw any stupid point scoring exploits?

My problem with stock pile is that no one wants to work as a team. You've -got- to have one person going for a flag and one person escorting said person.

I can definetly agree with that statement. Most people are too selfish, but the beetah is great, it feels a lot more modern than Halo 3. It always felt kinda dated to me. And the different armor powers make for som pretty diverse gameplay.

I hate stockpile, it's the same each time, one team goes for one half of the map and the other team goes for the other. Very little fighting actually goes on and when you try to take one of the enemy flags from their zone the timer runs...

Every time I played Stockpile the other team would always forgo the flag collecting and just spawn camp my team's base.

If the flags scored more and there was like say, 3 flags or 5 flags and they were worth more with a bigger score count before the match was won then I think it would be better,  because right now each flag is worth 1 point and yeah people rarely go for the enemy team's flags.

Halo Reach seems to have moved on to newer things but one thing is for sure, it didn't fall short of taking the dumasses and idiots with it.

My main gripe is that it looks exactly like Halo 3. I honestly don't think they made a new engine.

It's worse when you wonder why you're losing so badly, only to see someone of your own team trudging a flag to the wrong point, then the Blue team just staring at him wondering wtf he's doing.

I actually did this during my first game in the Beta. I was like, "Why aren't these dudes killing me?" And I was getting free flag kills left and right. I was clueless.

Does it matter? It's your team's score. What annoys me is when my team spams ARs the whole time. They're only good for assisting precision weapon-equipped teammates. And even then a plasma repeater/plasma pistol is better anyway so why bother?

Stockpile is awesome, IMO, but it is pretty easily ruined by idiotic behavior.  For example, I was playing last night when a member of my team (who happened to be a guest on another person's account) decided to take the flags from our return point while we were defending them and jump off of the map with them to reset their position.  Again, this was our team mate.

I enjoy stockpile, don't get to play it that often tho.As for the whole picking up a team mates flag thing,I know it goes on but either I've been lucky enough not to experience it or I'm just oblivious:P.I do make a point to try and steal the enemies flags,at the very least it annoys them and disrupts their flag gathering, and I completely agree about escorting flag carriers,I always try to do that:).Overall I'm loving the Beta, can't wait to see what else gets added to it,definitely want to play invasion!

This. I find the best strategy is to send 3 teammates to rush the opponents at the beginning, leaving 1 guy on your side of the map to collect flags and defend. The 3 guys put so much pressure on the opposing team that they can't try to steal the flags you're capping, and you can prevent them from scoring. even if all 3 die they'll respawn in time to meet a charge. Keep harassing the opposite team and they won't have the time or manpower to actually cap flags.

Also, play with friends. The dumb bullshit doesn't happen as much.

@Pie:  Totally. I've got often got 2 teammates with me when I'm playing but they are complete assholes, stealing my flags. I can live with that. But when randoms just go for score, that just pisses me off.

Also, there's nothing more boring than having a bad team and playing stockpile. But when you do, it's great. Cannot wait for invasion to come.

@Sjupp: With invasion, getting good teammates is even more important seeing as you can spawn on a designated partner. If you have an asshole who won't back up to respawn you so you can charge together, your pair is much less effective seeing as you'd have to respawn somewhere else then meet up again.

I wish people could understand objectives.  Not every game is slayer.

I once had a guy on my team in a game of stockpile and he would take the flags out of our base and try to get them to the other team's base.  So I betrayed him five or six times.
