Damnit, why? Part 1 sucked. Part 2 will be even worse. And yet I pre-ordered it.

I still have to buy/play LA Noire, Duke Nukem Forever, Alice: Madness Returns etc etc, but nooooo, I buy Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. I just like Harry Potter too much to resist the games, doesn't matter how bad they are.

    But what will come next?

JK Rowling is pretty protective of Harry Potter, so can we expect more games like EA did with Lord of the Rings? Or will it stop now?

IF they continue this is what I want:

    • A good game.

That's it. Something we haven't had for many years now.  And if I may dream: Kick EA Bright Light away from the license. They don't care about it or just don't have the talent. Either way, I don't want them involved anymore.

Who DO I want to be involved? Bioware (I said it was a dream). I know, I know... they are teh suxx since Dragon Age II, but I don't believe for a second they forgot how to make good games. And a bad Dragon Age game is still loads better than the best Harry Potter game.

Wouldn't it be awesome if we had a proper RPG at Hogwarts (and surroundings)? Years 1-6 open world and make year 7 the linear portion of the game (kinda like the Suicide Mission in Mass Effect 2)

If they would announce that game, I would just...faint...fap...squeal with joy. Bioware is making that crappy Star Wars game, so why not a Harry Potter game? At least that is a good license to have. ( ;) )

    If that doesn't work out...

Or even if it does work out (still dreaming...): Give me some XBLA remakes/ports of the first Harry Potter games. They were fun, and I like the more colorful and playful artstyle compared to the later games. I know the later games had to be darker, but still. I'd like to revisit the older ones.

One thing I noticed while playing Chamber of Secrets is the voice over that's used to explain the story. Perfect! The source material is a book, so a narrator fits ánd it explains the story much better then the crappy cutscenes used today. Absolutely love it.

Yeah... XBLA remakes and a Bioware game. It's good to have dreams.

I had that game on PS1 and loved it. I haven't played any since because they are appalling. I think that what constitutes a good game for me has changed drasticly where the standard has not changed for the potter games. Also, games looked like garbage 10 years ago!

I remember the first 3 games on the PC all have a great style to them. They were open world, with their own version of Hogwarts and the characters were actually the characters and not the movie actors. The games felt like a mix between the books and the movies and they were really fun. Oh and the  Quidditch World Cup game was sick too.

I'm pretty sure that narrator was Jim Dale, the guy who does the Harry Potter Audio-books.

I loved the Chambers of Secrets game, imo it was the best one. The first one was fun too.
