I'm encountering lots of static at the end of voices and sound effects occasionally throughout this game and I have only been playing for about 2 hours (retail game not talking about the demo).  Also the demo had an ungodly screeching noise when I was playing as the FBI guy at the top of the hill shortly after a car drove by and splashed water all over me.
 
Is anyone else experiencing this problem on the retail version?

I know it is an easy question, but how are your cables?

any damage?

cables are fine I'm using an HDMI.  Sound it perfect in all of my other PS3 games.
 I know that static is a known problem in the demo, but was wondering if anyone else exprienced this same problem with the retail version.
