Super Eyepatch Wolf joins Giant Bomb for a new podcast

Who else better to guide Jeff Bakalar through his first anime than the one and only Super Eyepatch Wolf?

From the exact same website that brought you All Systems Goku comes JeffJeff's Bizarre Adventure, Giant Bomb's newest podcast that will publish every other Wednesday, starting February 16.

So it turns out Jeff Bakalar has never watched an anime before, and his first is going to be JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. With the help of Tamoor Hussain, Lucy James (who also hasn't seen it) and Super Eyepatch Wolf, he'll dive right into the deep end of one of the most popular anime series of all time.

JJBA will cover the first two story arcs of the anime, Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency. Each podcast will wrap-up three episodes at a time, so we strongly recommend you watch them along with the gang. As of this writing, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is streaming on Netflix.

Happy that they were able to get Super Eyepatch Wolf and it's cool to see how excited everyone involved is, but oh boy this sure feels disappointing... Giant Bomb has been over-saturated with podcasts or podcast-like content (pretty much every show except Run For The Hills and UPF), I'm not sure if another one of these was what the site needed, especially considering it's once again about a random pop-culture subject instead of the gaming content so many people have been missing.

I really hope that, after this, we can get Tamoor and Lucy to do some new show structured as shorter, gaming-related, videos instead of another podcast about showing things to Jeff Bakalar.

100%. I love Tamoor and Lucy, but have no interest in anime.

(but I don't have time to watch all GB content anyway, so if this is something other folks love, it's fine. This seems inherently a limited series, so I'll just wait it out and hope Lucy and Tamoor are doing something more exciting for GB afterward)

Exactly how I feel!

I don't mind that this exists and I hope other people enjoy it despite it not being for me, I just wished Tam and Lucy would be on something more interesting and that GB stopped feeling so much like a podcast network.

I think JB is the reason a lot of these shows get made. I could be wrong but I think part of his job is working with all these people to get them involved with Giant Bomb. IMO everything he's been a part of has been better for it.

while thats probably true i can say i agree that its been for the better since i dislike the majority of them
