Joseph Clifford Montana, Jr. was born in New Eagle, Pennsylvania in 1956. He grew up in Monangahela, Pennsylvania. Joe Montana played for the University of Notre Dame and won the NCAA title in 1978. In the NFL, he played for two teams: the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs. With the 49ers, he won 4 Super Bowls. He was elected to the Pro Bowl 8 times and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2000.
