A Suda game that plays well?! (New trailer)

As much of a fan as I am of Grasshopper Manufacture their games have always been a bit clunky to control, especially their latest game Lolipop Chainsaw. Even Shadows of the Damned wasnt quite up to par with other survival horror games despite Shinji Mikami's involvement.

So when Killer is Dead was announced I didnt expect much, but it seems it's quite a step up from their other games at least as far as I can tell from this trailer.

Looks promising. This might anger Killer 7 fans though, as it looks a lot more like No More Heroes, but hopefully some of them enjoy hack & slash games as much as I do. Also Eurogamer have compiled a bunch of gameplay videos so if you're interested check it out.

Hawt dayum, the gameplay actually looked pretty damn slick. In fact the speed of it all instantly made me think of Metal Gear Rising, so it definitely looks like it's a massive step-up from their previous work. I actually thought Lollipop Chainsaw played... well, not great, but at least OK, and I waged that it would have been able to lead into something much better if they work off it from there. Hopefully this'll be the game where Suda finally has a game that's not only fun to witness, but actually play.

It looks so cool, Suda is great. I love almost everything he makes even if they don't review well.

I'm still not convinced it won't play like shit, but It does look kinda brilliant.

CRAZY! I don't really know what to make of this game, but it sure does look insane.

More Killer 7, less No More Heroes would've been great since I'm sorta sick of character action games at this point but sure, I'll give it a shot.

I pre-ordered this from amazon the day the first trailer came out; since then I've avoided everything about this game. Suda51's games are at their best when you don't know what to expect.

Gameplay wise, it does look like a great improvement over past Suda 51 games. In terms of style, it feels much more like a Suda 51 game than Lollipop Chainsaw or Shadows of the Damned did. Either way, I'm excited.

Had to stop watching this trailer because I don't want too much given away. The gameplay though, wow. Looks slick.
