As I sit here typing this blog, I am currently playing the new 2k baseball game. MLB 2k9. I am enjoying it so far, though I'm quite disappointed, as I was last year and the year before that. This game could've been fantastic, but, 2k fucked it up again. Weird glitches really bog down this promising game. It's a shame. I can't wait for MVP Baseball to return in 2011, hopefully.

I have never bought a baseball game before. I would like to one day, if it were a really good one. This doesnt seem like the place to start though.

Thats good cause I do have one. But I would have to check out to see if that series actually made it over to Australia though. Because I dont think I would go to the expense and hassle of having one imported.

Yeh we have had it for a while now lol. As for MLB I should be able to find a copy fairly easily at a specialist store. The major chains just might not carry a broad selection of baseball games.

Edit: though I might say by the time it got here [rock band] it kind of became a bit irrelevant because Guitar Hero 3 swooped in and stole its thunder haha.

I wish I had a PS3 sometimes :(

i know these are just your first impressions -- but if you get the time, i'd really like to read a review of the game when you feel you've spent enough time w/ it..... just cause i know we prolly won't review it ourselves at giantbomb..... and i'm really excited to play the game myself.

Solution: Just buy the Show. It has been and still is leagues (no pun intended) better than 2K's baseball series.

What annoys me about this game is how the announcers talk during the pre-game. I was playing as the Blue Jays and they say stuff like "Welcome to New York" or "Look at Derick Jeter". The Dereck Jeter comment happend while the camera was on Alex Rios. Its the little things that bog down this game and make it less fun to play. At least the pitching is more forgiving, along with the frame rate being much more stable.
