Did you like it? Would you recommend it? Also, does she have dialog after the mission or is she like Zaeed?
Mass Effect 2
Game » consists of 21 releases. Released Jan 26, 2010
After a violent death by an unknown force and a timely reanimation by the human supremacist organization Cerberus, Commander Shepard must assemble a new squad in the seedier side of the galaxy for a suicide mission in the second installment of the "Mass Effect" trilogy.
Kasumi DLC worth it?
If she's like Zaeed then I don't want anything to do with it. I need my DLC characters to be fleshed out. Zaeed was a disappointment.
Yes, she is like Zaeed, but I liked Zaeed, and I like Kasumi. She's alot more likeable then Zaeed, and she definitely has more dialogue. Her mission is probably my third favorite now (behind Tali's and Mordin's), giving us a peek at some Earth history and a good Bond vibe. Her Shadow Strike is cool, but I doubt its effectiveness on higher difficulties.
In the end, anyone that was happy with Zaeed would definitely be happy with this. Those that want more ME2 would be happy with this. I'd recommend it to any of those people.
I enjoyed it, tough it is a bit overpriced. I also bought ME Galaxy, though, so that tells you how I err when dealing with the Mass Effect Universe. It's a good mission, and you get a new SMG, if that's your thing, but it is a tad short, and I suspect the flashbang grenade power is a touch useless other than for fun. Should be good for future playthroughs, though.
" If she's like Zaeed then I don't want anything to do with it. I need my DLC characters to be fleshed out. Zaeed was a disappointment. "
keeping a S rank on Giantbomb is the only reason i felt like it was worth it, Other than that i can only say MEH!
If you are looking for pure quantity with this dlc you will be disappointed. However, I found that this dlc was top notch in its quality. Bioware put a lot of really nice touches into it. I would honestly say that it is by far the best loyalty mission in the whole game, and I find Kasumi to be very interesting as a character.
The only way this package could be any better was if Bioware had made Kasumi as interactable as any of the other companions (besides Zaeed). I would say if you plan to play through ME2 multiple times than this dlc should be an instant buy.
" Given past experiences with Bioware DLC and what I've heard about the content-to-price ratio of it, I'm going to have to say no. It may be personal opinion based off past experience and hearsay, but I think my opinion is still valid. "I'd agree with this.
Bought it against my better judgement, simply because I recently started a new play through, and felt I needed to have the final character. It's a good mission, Kasumi herself is great and it does give you some very interesting information about Earth's history, a new SMG and some new casual outfits.
But for 560 points? Not really worth it.
I think, if you have the points already and honestly don't know what the hell to do with them, get Kasumi for another playthrough and try something different with a playthrough again.
I just had to try something new though and went and bought the points to get it.
Otherwise the mission is very good I believe, something different from the usual.
I really enjoyed it, more so than I thought I would anyways. Kasumi's loyalty quest was interesting, her dialogue is interesting and at times very humorous, and she is a useful character overall. Buy it imo.
If nothing else, Kasumi is incredibly strong as a partner throughout the game, especially on higher difficulty levels.
It's certainly worth the 7 bucks in my opinion.
Definitely worth it, as long as you're not expecting more than a solid quest, a surprisingly useful new party member and some interesting and challenging combat. Still perfectly playable on Insanity with a low-level character, though, which is always nice if you're tired of playing with maxxed-out Shepards...
I got it today, and enjoyed it! Best part was is I was starting a new character anyway, so I can now use her in all the story missions and ser her dialogue.
She's pretty darn awesome!
Maybe for three or four hundred points.. The casual outfit is pretty spiffy and my Shepard wears that now over the standard ones.
The submachine gun is pretty ok I suppose but I rarely use that weapon type anyway.
Mission was fun but ended with a bit of a boring run and gun feature. Should have branched a bit where you could have made decisions in order to maintain covert escapes for an explosive ending or something.
The history of earth stuff was interesting and inspecting the stolen artifacts.
*shrugs* I just bought it because I was starting on a new playthrough, as for a squad member... hnnn I don't know... her shadow strike thing is effective but always puts her in the heat of battle.. which in ME2 terms means death... I would not use her on an Insanity run that's for sure.
I wish that they didn't short change her and Zaheed on missions. Everyone else has a full length mission to recruit them and then another to make them loyal. The DLC characters only have a loyalty one.
even thouh Kasumi isnt very fleshed out, her mission is pretty cool, and i like her. so i think its worth it to download. Zaade is horrible, and I wish they never made him.
I guess it was worth it. The new mission was well done, and Kasumi and the new gun are a good excuse for another playthrough of the main quest. On the other hand, Kasumi, like Zaeed, is only a half-character in that they don't really have dialogue or recruitment missions. It just seems like EA/Bioware got away with releasing an unfinished game simply by labeling them "DLC" characters. Not to say that that really is what happened, but it sure seems like it. Particularly with Zaeed, who was released the same time as the game itself.
