Okay, watched the whole video now. It looks damned amazing. Some of the textures looked off, but that's about the only thing I could complain about, and that's picking nits.

Its still alpha im pretty sure. Its not out till march so lots of time to imporve it.

While I thoroughly enjoy the Mass Effect games, to this day I do not see why this is an either /or decision. Sure have a plethora of assorted extra abilities to flavour your character, my soldier has great reflexes whereas yours is a dab hand with a concussive round, but why on earth would the ability to talk come at the expense of general combat performance for a member of the military? It's like saying that a chef can either cook well or talk to his staff.
I think it's a good compromise between Mass Effect 1's system which was to much complicated for that kind of an RPG/shooter and Mass Effect 2's system which was oversimplified.
The paragon-renegade bar is much different looking, too this time. It's much more reminiscent of the Knights of the Old Republic bar. I wonder if it will work similar to that one where it's very either-or rather than accumulating points on both sides depending on your choices.
It certainly looks like BioWare has listened to fans and critics, by striking a happy balance between third-person shooting and RPG mechanics. I just hope they don't screw up the plot this time, and finally get most of the moral choices right.
Although I didn't mind that they stripped out the customisation and simplified the RPG elements, I'm happy to see that they listened to the criticism of the previous games and have implemented or improved upon many of the requested features. Can't wait for March!
Edit: Wait wait, in the demo they addressed Anderson as Admiral, what happens if he was the Councilor in my game? Does he resign or something before Mass Effect 3?
I'm happy , all what I wanted is there (Liara and gun modding hell yeah :D!!!!!) so all Im left to do is wait for the game and no more watching videos and info release .... I wish I had a time machine :( March 6 2012 is too far away >:3
