Hey all, just figured I'd let all the MGS fans know where the newest trailer will debut, as it will apparently be not part of one of the main conferences. It's already confirmed that it'll be 6 minutes long, so get excited.

Instead it'll be at the 'Youtube at E3' stream, as advertised here, on Monday.

YO HERE IT IS. IT'S GREAT. GODDAMN.

Not super surprising, as the event is hosted Geoff Keighley, and he and Kojima are known buddies.

Current schedule has the trailer itself to be revealed between 11:00am and 11:30am PT this Monday.

Edit: I sure am looking forward to this raising more questions than answers.

I am glad that Kojima and Konami's kerfuffle didn't jeopardize MGS V, can't wait to see the trailer!!!

I dunno, nothing beats the 9 minute E3 2013 trailer.

Six minutes of someone from Konami apologising that they no longer think MGS is worth their time so they've just cancelled it.

Weirdly enough I was most worried that the whole breakup would mean no more Kojima trailers. Glad to see that's not the case. I've been looking for some new music anyway.

Wonder if he'll show up in The Phantom Pain anywhere...

There's so much weird shit in that trailer, it's really reassuring after all the Kojima and micro-transaction stuff. Skull Face in a Zorro mask? Weird cyber zombie ladies? Boss smoking opium with Code Talker?

It's going to be tough to avoid this game for two weeks until the PC port can come out.

Welp, Liquid and Solid both now officially confirmed then! Also, for as chilling a trailer as it was, the part where it focusses on boob jiggle for a few seconds was a bit jarring..

@yummylee: It's Kojima. You get the good with the bad, although I love the fact that the pandering gaze wound up on a weird cyborg zombie lady rather than Quiet.

There is so much insanity in this single trailer.

-Skullface is possibly a hallucination, seen only by BB.

-SOLID (maybe)

-BB will suffer from very severe hallucinations, as seen with those giant spikes coming from the ground that resemble his 'horn'

-Quiet is linked to The Parasite Unit, which manifests as some kind of infection

-Young Mantis continues being ambiguous and creepy

-Paz is alive

-SOLID

-Game is going to go to some dark places

Oh here's a weird thing I just found while I was checking to make sure in the Metal Gear Wiki:
"In the Shadow Moses briefing files for the original game, Snake appears to have fair-colored hair. Shinkawa said in an interview that Snake's hair might be naturally blond, and that he had probably dyed it brown before infiltrating Shadow Moses, while commenting on his designs for Snake's alias in the game's sequel, Iroquois Pliskin.^[91] In the remake, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, Snake is instead clearly shown to have dark-colored hair in the corresponding briefing files."

@gaspower: No, Solid Snake's always had brown hair. People get confused because the lighting in the MGS1 briefing makes it look like his hair is blonde.

He is. He was shown as such in the debriefing videos of the first MGS, and he had his hair cut and dyed.

No words. There's no amount of words I could use to properly explain my feelings of the video. There's simply too much. The hype levels are critical.

I have never been so hyped before, those last few moments of the trailer, along with the Metal Gear (Rex?), an AI core from Peace Walker, Zero, etc.

Yeah, I remember when Snake still had long hair in those videos back in MGS1 and I vividly remember it being blonde. We'll know soon enough once the game comes out.

"Blew me away" is perfect wording for it. I'm surprised after all this time Kojima can still wow me like no other developer. The spectacle that goes into these games is unparalleled.

Question? Why do you guys think Solid is in the trailer, he was never a child soldier, those two at the end are Liquid and Solidus. Besides Solid always had brown hair, not blond like the other two.

This game has serious potential to be Kojima's masterpiece, like his trailers have always been great but they're operating on a different level here.

I will also join the growing crowd of people who suspect David Hayter is in the game.

I'm arriving at the conclusion that all of the demon Snake stuff, and the horn, is just Big Boss straight losing his mind. He's gotta just be descending into madness.

Which would work for me. I mean, that's the canon of the series. Big Boss loses his shit and becomes the villain.

Nanomachines, Son. That's why Paz/The Boss Clone exists. The container is obviously the AI or whatever that Strangelove made. Liquid is Eli, but the other kid could be Solidus or even Grey Fox, since they were all child soldiers. The REX is weird, is that suppose to be Proto-ZEKE, or TX-55? I know Kojima wants to ret-con MG 1 & 2, but I feel if that's actually REX, then plot stuff is iffy for MGS 1, 2, and 4...

I like the theory that Skullface is just a phantom of BB imagining, but why is he fixated on the leader of Cipher, when BB knows who Zero is? Miller being blind, whatevs, but the way his eyes are yellow-ish maybe gold in color, seems fishy to me. Quiet being a prominent part of MGSV is also weird seeing as she is a optional buddy. Did that black guy with the lung burns have a earbud in his throat? Is Chico alive in some way? Cyborg/Nano/Meme zombies seems out of place, unless this whole game takes place after 4.

A LOT of references to Grey Fox hidden in there, wonder if we'll see him at all.

And what's with the ashes/dust on BB's face at the one part? Other trailers have shown different things happening in the background...

I had long been concerned with this game. I've been a massive MGS fan since I played the original and every peice of media they've released has had me going back and forth on the interested/concerned scale. I played Ground Zeroes and thought it played fantastically but it really didn't feel much like a Metal Gear game it didn't have the Kojima factor outside of the forced sillyness of certain side ops. All the gameplay for Phantom Pain looked like this too and I was really starting to get concerned. However this trailer and the Nuclear trailer are what still give me hope. I've played these games ad infinitum and feel like I know them by the back of my hand, so what I love about this trailer is I have no idea whats going on and it just plain seems insane even for MGS standards.

I just love how much of a tease that ending is. At just a glance it looks like they teased kid Solid Snake especially when they directly follow that up by mentioning the "Terrible Children" but looking closer and it's two exact duplicates of Eli right down to small scars and clothing. A few of the scenes from previous trailers are repeated here but some are at different times of day and the scene with the cremated soldier remains adds characters into the background but it's paced so that if you blink you'll miss it.

Both have blonde hair, Liquid and Solidus.

His hair is naturally blonde. They are genetic twins. He dyed his hair in MGS1 because they wanted to make sure nobody got him confused with Liquid. They dont' even just hint at this they very explicitly say this.

There are some classic literary references in this trailer.
There's a shot of Eli with a pig's head and a conch shell at 3:23, a clear reference to Lord of the Flies.
At 2:06, we have a very brief glimpse of a poster that reads 'Big Boss is watching you!', referencing 1984. Along with that, some of the themes that the trailer are very familiar to that of Newspeak in 1984; that by controlling language, you can control people (simply put).

What this all means, I have no clue.

Lupe Fiasco's new mixtape is really good and also heavily samples the music and dialogue this trailer on the intro track, which is really cool and works with what he was going for. He's also a huge MGS fan too.

Just funny to go into this mixtape and even get MGSV hype there. I can't take it!
