Hit Level 80, Slam A Dew

Game Fuel returns, but don't expect to see the Master Chief chugging these.

I expect this one will just taste like the Halo version.

Mountain Dew's Game Fuel was a limited issue beverage released alongside Halo 3. It grew on me pretty quickly, and it mixed well with vodka. So I was a little sad to see it go.

Someone at Blizzard must share my love of irresponsible drink mixing, then, because the rebranded Mtn Dew is bringing Game Fuel back this summer with all-new World of Warcraft branding on it. The original citrus cherry flavor that the Master Chief loved to throw back returns as Horde Red. A new "wild fruit" variety will also be released as Alliance Blue.

I look forward to mixing the two flavors together and then adding Ketel One to the mixture. I think I will preemptively refer to this as a "Dark Portal," so named for the sizable hole it leaves in your memory after you drink 12 or 13 of them.

Uh... don't try that at home. Oh, and they should have called it "Raid Fuel."

Huh.  Blizzard's reputation:  -1 point.

At least, in my mind.

Oh god no...

"Raid Fuel" is a somewhat perfect idea for a brand name of "gamer" drinks.

Goddamn it, Bob. What have you done now?

Dude that sounds delicious except the Mtn Dew seems unnecessary .

Man, game fuel was good. Real good. Glad to see it back(but it's awful for you).

Yay! More Mountain Dew goodness!

"Dark Portal" - hell yeah, I'll drink to that.

just finished a can of mountain dew actually.  It's one of those drinks that I like to have every now and then to change things up.

I only had the Halo 3 Game Fuel a couple times and I didn't like it all. I'm willing to give another shot here but I'll definitely be repping the blue Alliance version. Ally all day! YEAH YAY!

I tried the Halo 3 Game Fuel, I can't even remember what I thought of it.  I kind of wish they'd always have some Game Fuel with one of the newest games in the art.  Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil 5, Killzone 2.  I don't know why I would want that.

YES, GAME FUEL RETURNS!! I'm so excited, I just shit myself.
DeadMonkeyson March 17, 2009 at 9:19 p.m.
If you mix one cup of Halo Game fuel, two cups of Gamer Grub, and one bottle of Manna Potion into a blackened pot at midnight,  the creature of a thousand abominations will rear its fearsome head and let loose the forty six terrors of the apocalypse. May god have mercy on our souls.

Someone I know for whatever reason was given 20 cases of the halo version from his job, he didn't want all 20 cases so gave away about 19 of them at a party I attended. I walked out with about 3 of said cases, each case had 24 bottles in it. Also every bottle was of the painted aluminum variety. I think I ended up giving a lot of it away too, not because I didn't like it but Jesus, who wants 73 bottles of it?

Man, Game Fuel was awful, so I'm not too happy to see it come back.  I'll be sticking with Voltage, thanks.

I actually liked and miss Game Fuel. It's one of the very few "gamer" related drinks I actually enjoyed. The Halo 3 advertising... not so much.

The problem is that nowhere around me actually sells any sort of Mountain Dew except original and Code Red. Live Wire exists only in tiny, super expensive bottles. That purple stuff (Midnight grape? Something midnight...) I've only ever seen and tried once. Same with the Dew-mocracy flavors... I only got to try just one and that was only one time. So here's hoping they actually get this stuff around more.

Was just wondering, what's the source for the info? Can't seem to find anything else about this anywhere else...
