Ubisoft has made the enormously successful Assassin’s Creed franchise its Call of Duty by this point, able to put together well-received iterations of the series on an annual basis.
That will continue next year, as well, company CEO Yves Guillemot revealed on an investor call this morning.
Guillemot described next year’s entry as another “major” installment for Assassin’s Creed, but didn’t reveal any details on the game itself, teasing details would be available in the “coming months.”
Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, which is supposed to bring an end to both Ezio and Altair’s storylines, is the fourth Assassin’s Creed game.

EDIT: WOW! Call me dumb, but that's the quest everyone talks about? I never cared for quests so i didn't knew. Man, now i feel bad for saying just one word.
It's a-me, Ezio!
I like him and all, but it's time to move on. Desmond's turn.
Feels like AC:Rev isn't getting all the attention is would normaly
*tries to put a surprised face* wow, really?
It should be called Assassin's Creed 3. No subtitle, short name, new story, and I'll be fine with that.
ugh, just give me a new Prince of Persia damnit!
as long as they don't pull activions, im fine
Assassins Creed 3 then... Or would they call it 5?
E3 2012 we will finally hear news about Assassin's Creed 3, the third Assassin's Creed game!
in a perfect world
They haven't let me down so far. Eleven months is long enough for me to want more Assassin's Creed again. Looking forward to it.
Well they did say they want to end Desmond's story in the year that the game takes place in. It makes sense.. At least for 3 we will have a new time period and assassin.
i was ready for all desmond outing in ac2. enough already!
I'm totally OK with this. More AC is always welcome in my book.
I dunno... I LOVE Assassin's Creed, probably my favorite series of games in this gen of consoles. But I'm starting to feel a bit nervous. Revelation looks to be amazing, but i dunno if they should make, what I would assume to be, Assassin's Creed 3 so soon without giving the series a little break.
Great?
I guess they havent gone wrong so far...
