In addition to dropping this title news this morning, Sega made a passing mention of two of the game's online modes and, in the process, might have revealed the direction Platinum Games is shooting for. Tag Team and Battle Royal modes were confirmed, leading me to believe, at least, that Platinum wants to give the game a wrestling-ish flavor.
Oh, and three screens are available for your viewing now, too. This is undeniably a Platinum Games joint.

Expect Anarchy Reigns to hit store shelves in Fall 2011 for the Xbox 360 and PS3.

Visual style looks very ostentatious, let's hope the gameplay is just as ridiculous.
I hate the quest system so damn much.
If there's anyone who knows how to make strong melee gameplay, its the former developers of God Hand.
Zeno Clash's brawling is really strong. I think it's just the smacking sound though, which is FANTASTIC.
I love Platinum games, I especially love Madworld, and I love the idea of this.
So just shut your face and give it to me.
I wonder if they just took Bayonetta's ass...
WHY IS IT NOT BLACK AND WHITE
Love is over.
All action games of one type or another that target mature audiences with a healthy dose of ridiculous, versus:
Games of different styles for different audiences.
As much as I like Platinum's insane action titles, it'd be nice to see more of the old Clover show up.
They did, though I have no idea how that workload was split.
But pre-Clover, they made:
I think they just do whatever the hell they want, and I honestly like it that way. It's not like they've ever disappointed (not, at least, when Mikami or Kamiya have directed).
Apparently when she joined the Terran's ghost program.

The less said about Infinite Space, the better in my opinion. But it does seem like the workload wasn't with Platinum as that game is nothing like any of their priors (in terms of both type of game and quality of product).
