PS3-Exclusive Medal of Honor Bundle Includes Frontline

Because this game needs to be in HD.

The Dead Space 2 and Dead Space: Extraction bundle wasn't the only limited edition PS3-exclusive bundle announced during Sony's E3 2010 briefing. The publisher also announced its lock on a special edition of Medal of Honor that will include an HD version of Medal of Honor: Frontline, EALA's classic WWII-based joint.

Frontline follows the story of James Patterson, who after escaping Nazi clutches, decides to check out what's going at Normandy. He lives, of course, and you follow him on the rest of his rip-roarin,' MP40-filled journey of revenge.

Medal of Honor ships this October. A beta for the game will kick off in June.

I don't remember Frontline.
Impossibiliumon June 15, 2010 at 7:36 p.m.
I do remember Frontline, and it was excellent.

Although unless this gets a full graphical makeover it's not going to hold up well at a different resolution.

@Impossibilium:  I agree, they need to change their identity on the multplayer side part of the game. it just looks like a bad company/ call of duty smash up.  I want to see something different  when it comes to multiplayer. I also want to know more of the single player campaign.

I loved Frontline, but I don't want to play FPSs on my PS3...

TPSs are completely different though.

MOH: Frontline was the shit back in the day. This is a cool bonus.
Microshockon June 15, 2010 at 7:43 p.m.
These are actually DECENT exclusives. And i'm assuming it's going to be at no extra cost like the Dante's Inferno thing

Better than a 30 day exclusivity deal on COD map packs

Patterson! HEY, PATTERSON!
Sparky_Buzzsawon June 15, 2010 at 7:45 p.m.

That's a pretty sweet bonus, but I'm still not sold on the new Medal of Honor.

Yeah, on splitscreen that game just starts lookin' like Goldeneye. But then that's getting re-released too... huh.

Normally the choice between getting the Xbox 360 and PS3 version of a game comes down mainly to who I will be playing with, and to a lesser extent the  in regards to the controller, but having extra content as substantial as entire game (that ive been meaning to play) is something that might push me to getting the PS3 version (though I prefer the 360 pad for FPS's) of Medal of Honor or Dead Space.

@fugie7: Well, since the multiplayer is being made by DICE, I think feeling more like CoD and Battlefield is a good thing for the franchise.

Never played this RTCW was my WW2 FPS of choice back then.

The first level of Frontline blew me away when it first came out.

By "in June" you mean "this week". I already got my copy pre-ordered.
ThePhenomenal1on June 15, 2010 at 8:40 p.m.
EA has figured out a way to get me to buy 3rd party games on ps3.
Brodehouseon June 15, 2010 at 8:44 p.m.
@FunExplosions:  I was about to post that the only thing I remember is that first level of Frontline.  To this day, I still feel it's the best D-Day I've played.  The boat turning over, bullets whizzing through water, those iconic metal crosses, the Nazi embankments, and that guy stepping on a mine and turning into smithereens when you run to the trench area.

I also think there was a level where you're in a shipyard.  And maybe a French town.
FunExplosionson June 15, 2010 at 8:51 p.m.
Hah, yep. And there was a mission in a submarine, and another with a bunch of BITCH-ASS snipers. All I really remember about the later game is those god damn snipers.
Sidfiouon June 15, 2010 at 10:04 p.m.
I'm not sure if Frontline would hold up nowadays for me. It was my favorite Medal of Honor game, next to Allied Assault.
Meekaon June 15, 2010 at 10:43 p.m.
This MoH was my best. But I don't think it will be as great as it was today ...
BloodHarvesteron June 16, 2010 at 1:08 a.m.
Pretty cool stuff, it's going to be tough to get over the almost-monopolization of Call of Duty's success, but I'm glad to see them going the extra mile to bring back older fans of the series.

Dig Deeper into Medal of Honor

Step into the boots of Tier 1 Operatives Rabbit and Deuce in this all-new, modern take on EA's long-running Medal of Honor series, whose separately-developed single- and multiplayer modes give it a disconnected, schizophrenic feel.
