    Nintendo's third DS revision, the DSi, has sold over 3 million in Japan, with the console itself exceeding 27 million worldwide now.

    According to Famitsu,  as of 19th July, total sales were at 2,908,736 units. The following week saw further sales of 81,000 units and an additional 71,000 until August 2nd.

    I agree.  A good new release like DQIX is the kind of incentive to upgrade for many.  Many people like myself are just waiting for a good excuse to buy one.
