Hey guys, 
   Just checked my e-mail and EA sent me a message with a code to get one free game. They are offering what I listed above, Dragon Age: Origins, Battlefield Bad Company 2, and spore.  Yes they are old games but I for one passed up on Dragon Age and was pretty excited by this deal so I figured that some other people may have passed on these games and wanna jump in.  Just wanted  to let everyone know to check their inbox because I have no clue how long the deal will last. Anyway, I'm off to downloading my copy of DA, enjoy duders!

@Sackmanjones: I have a pre-Origin account, hopefully that doesn't bone me somehow. I did get MOH: Airborne for free on the Portuguese site, though, so there's that at least.

On a related note, MOH: Airborne is free on the Portuguese site.

Ehhh, Spore is pretty awesome in the cell stage, creature stage, and space stage. Not anywhere near what was promised or what it could have been, but still an alright game.

What are the prerequisites of getting such an e-mail? Maybe I haven't gotten one because my Origin login is broken since their merging of data and the e-mail they send for account verification is broken as well (it doesn't actually contain my name or a link to verify).

I always found the premise of Spore really intriguing and from what they made it sound like prerelease the possibilities and scale seemed almost endless. Did it not actually turn out that way? I never had the chance to pick it up.

No email, but the only offer I can see related to their 1 year anniversary is half off a game if I buy another one.

Also, it's saying week 3 of 4? I've been on Origin constantly the last three weeks and this is the first I'm seeing of it...

I've had origin for a while, but no email sadly. I never played spore so it would be neat if I could get a code for it.

I like how you only have 3 days to even jump on this offer. Some people would miss it in its entirety without even knowing, and you could find those games at this point for 5 dollars. EA going beyond the call of generosity once again.

just want to be clear. its not worth it due to the origin installer or the games.

cuz if its the games then there is something very wrong with out, DA:o and BC 2 are both really awesome games.

if its the installer i dont see why but ofc you have a right to have that opinion and since your not the only one then there must be something about it in your specific case

@AndrewB: I was so so so so hyped for spore, and then it was just slightly decent. It was probably the biggest letdown I've experienced in video games.

Damn it, would have wanted to get my hands on DA: O.
