Hey, guys? This may have come up in another thread, and I'm sure I'm far from the first person to think of this, but it just occurred to me.

If Mitsuru and Aigis had no knowledge of the specific events in Inaba other than there being a detection of possible Shadow activity in the region, how did Public Safety McBowl Cut know that Naoto could use a Persona?

Is it possible evil Kirijo man is Mitsuro's grandfather? I mean it's just a crazy theory I just had but he was researching time travel and was all into collecting shadows.

Who are you talking about? It was already established in P3 that Mitsuru's grandfather was evil and responsible for the Dark Hour as well as Tartarus and all that bad stuff.

The evil duder at the end of Arena, could it be her grandfather traveling back in time? Or is this just a way to far fetched theory.

well it's not like time travelling is all that strange for SMT... but that still seems really silly.

    Oooohhh, do tell.

It's best left unsaid. But I will say that in my quest to fill Giant Bomb's coffers with quality SMT content, I've seen things I wish I hadn't. Predictable things. Over and over again. (and it's not just horrible porn, though that counts for a lot)

I actually haven't met any in person, and I kind of doubt I will!

Agreed on this. I have seen things no man was ever meant to see searching for reference photos for my Inaba project.

They probably did research into police testimonies and stuff to try and find more shadows/personas after the Shadow Operatives started. At least that's what I assumed when I played her story. Or maybe she told the higher-ups about it what with her being a cop and everything, cause she didn't seem all that surprised when he brought it up.

Naoto? She was extremely surprised when she learned that the officer knew about her Persona abilities as well as the Inaba case. Why do you say she wasn't? Her expression even changed to represent her demeanor.

And I think Hailinel's point is that it's very strange that an officer like that would have knowledge about the fact that Naoto has a Persona when one who is supposed to be above him in rank, Mitsuru, didn't know about it.

@Hailinel: @FluxWaveZ: Yeah, I realized after I posted it that she was surprised. She calmed down pretty quickly, and I had to leave the game running while I did some house work, so when I came back she was calm throughout the rest of the conversation, that must've been what I was remembering.

I guess just ignore the second thing I said then, sorry!

Enjoyed the story, but I've seen some people that have mentioned some kind of important revelation that predates the modern Persona games that I seem to have missed, and I've gotten all of the story chapter trophies. Things I've found of note:

    • Mitsuru Kirijo is member #1 of that Shadow group thing. Labrys is member #5. Akihiko's one of the group's founding members, even though he's said to be active in a part-time capacity, so I assume he's #2. Fuuka's not part of the group. #3 and #4 are people who are more "important" in the group than Aigis; probably people that we know of.

The sloucher with the hat looks a lot like Junpei. The one next to him and behind Mitsuru MIGHT be Yukari, but I'm just basing that on her pose.

Does anyone else more familiar with Persona 1 & 2 characters think they could be in this shot?

@Talon64: That picture's been speculated on for a while now. I don't see what identifies that persona as Junpei other than the reversed hat, but either way I don't think it's worth it to speculate more on just silhouettes as they could be anybody.

And I don't see how it would make much sense for P1/P2 characters to become part of this organization to begin with.

So a lot of people believe that the "Malevolent Entity" is Nyarlathotep, but have there been any guesses as to who the hacker is that takes control of Labrys at the end of the characters' stories and attacks them? Nyarl states that he's cooperating with that person, so could it be someone from any of the previous Persona games? I'm guessing not since it seems no one's speculated on who the hacker could be yet.

Actually, people are guessing it's either Edogawa or Public Safety Guy.

Public Safety Guy is possible, but at the same time it seems like they would have given him a name if he's supposed to eventually be an important character.

It might not even be somebody we know of already, maybe in whatever follow up they do, it will end up being a new character.
