    • New Prosecutor = Jin Yugami. Serving a sentence for murder; ordered to stand in court.

Since his new design/reveal wasn't posted here, here is Apollo Justice after whatever incident happens to him:

And a bunch of new screenshots:

    Gyakuten Saiban!!!

The second half of this game has you playing the role of Apollo and his new cheer squad tapping buttons and rotating spinners to help Phoenix Wright so he can overcome the case he's struggling with.

Then aliens invade the world and you have to team up with the prosecutors and fight back through the power of cheer.

Weird, posted this in the AA5 forums but it got thrown in General Discussion.

Man, I hope this game captures that original trilogy flavor.

    I love Phoenix Wright. Wheeeeeeee.

    And Apollo is pretty cool!

This is what I'm talking about. Apollo was okay, but now that Phoenix is back everything is fine again. Maya and Mia better be back too.

I just want to say that Apollo Justice is the best name ever.

I want Maya's return, but I think I'm just fine if Mia is left out. Wright's experienced enough by now to not need her help anymore anyways.

    WHERE IS FRANZISKA

Apollo Justice was the first AA game I ever beat and god damn I love that game. I did eventually go back and play the others, but I dunno, maybe it's just that AJ was my first one that makes it stick with me. I'm excited for this new one. What the hell ever happened to Prof Layton vs Ace Attorney?

You can change that if you do a full edit.

@CollegeguyMike: Level 5 first said it was going to come out in USA and Europe some time this year, then later recanted stating that a Western release has not been confirmed or announced.

Interesting; I wish I cared about the Ace Attorney games...

On paper, they seem exactly like something I could enjoy, but I just can't muster any interest for them =|

    Glad Apollo is back!!

Apollo looks like he's doing his best Big Boss impression with that eye patch / bandanna thing he has going on.

...Wait. Is this the point where Ace Attorney and MGS crossover? Is Apollo the guy in bandages in that Phantom Pain trailer? Real or CG?

Wonder if they'll ever localize that miles edgeworth 2 game.

Every since they "killed" Phoenix that I haven't played one of these.

@winternet: Do you mean when they basically rewrote his entire personality in the 4th game and replaced him with Apollo, or are you referring to something else? He's the main character again in this game.

Looking forward to the eventual Western release. I'll try and stay clear of any (more) spoilers until then.

@petiew: Isn't Apollo Phoenix's son? And this is game is with Phoenix or Apollo?

@petiew: Isn't Apollo Phoenix's son? And this is game is with Phoenix or Apollo?

    1. In a way, sure.

    2. Both, but mainly Phoenix.

I need to get back to and finish that fourth Ace Attourney game before this comes out. I wasn't really motivated to do it before this was announced.

@fluxwavez: Ok. There's so many games that I kinda lost track of it. Now that I bothered to make a search, Trucy is Phoenix's daughter. That said, this will be the first time that Phoenix will be the main character since the 3rd game, right? Didn't he stop being a lawyer or something? (Actually I thought that he died, for whatever reason)

@winternet: He lost his license to practice law sometime after the third game, it's one of the big story points in 4. The first 3 games have Phoenix as the main character, Apollo Justice(4) where he isn't, and then there are two Edgeworth spinoffs.

@starvinggamer: That sucks, didn't Capcom confirm it was coming to the West a while back though?

@petiew: So this is the fifth "main" Ace Attorney game?

I really don't like that dude with the eye make-up, but I suppose that's the point.

@winternet: Yep, this is the 5th game in the main series. In Japan the main series is called Gyakuten Saiban (Basically 'Turnabout Trial') and they're actually all numbered so it's kind of easier to keep track of.

Apollo Justice with an eyepatch is clearly going to be the prosecutor for the last case. He looks too cool to sit on the sidelines. Also, this should come out in America, because I have a 3DS and would like to play it. Same goes for the Professor Layton crossover.

The game was already confirmed for a North American release literally 1-2 days after its announcement.

That's fantastic! After Ace Attorney Investigations 2 didn't make it over, I was a bit afraid.

    Okay, that would be rad.
